Waiting until January is definitely a good idea. I think some Mary Beard books might be among my Christmas gifts too! 😊

Next year, less than four weeks, I will start the whole Dickens canon. Exciting. Love Great Expectations.

The problem I have is that I tend to read a few books at the same time. So to complete the task of completion before the end of the year will require an immense effort on my part. I have asked for the various books you have recommended (during your last few videos)for Christmas , so I can’t wait. I didn’t order the poetry, as I don’t feel that brave. Thank you so much I really enjoy your videos, as I learn so much. 🙏

Which biography of Augustus do you plan on going with?

A few years ago, I read SPQR by Mary Beard which I enjoyed very much. Now at your suggestion, I’m listening to the audio version of Emperor of Rome narrated by Mary Beard and I’m enjoying it. Thanks for the recommendation.😊

Pax BookTube RULES! We might disagree on the merits of "Stoner," but that doesn't change the fact that this is going to be an EPIC BookTube event (in which wearing a toga is mandatory?)!

Well, I must say, you certainly don’t hesitate to stick your neck out. Claiming Stoner as the best American novel ever written? You sound like someone who has not read many American novels. Looking forward to your videos that discuss other than the Roman Empire.

You know you can disagree with people without being rude, right?
