Hi Jeannie, I'm a mom of 6 little ones and love your videos to restore some peace and tranquility after a busy and often hectic day! You remind me a lot of my grandma who is no longer with us and whom I dearly miss. My youngest is 2 months old and we have found on evenings when he is particularly fussy (as a mom you may remember the dreaded early evening "witching hour"), a sure way to soothe him is swaddling him nice and snug, lowering the lights, and rocking with him while one of your videos plays. It works every time, your voice is able to relax him almost immediately. So from baby Hugh and his mama, thank you 💕

Omg! This totally warmed my heart!! Yes - remember those days, evenings, nights….snuggling them close as they’re fussy….singing low, quiet songs. I truly do hope the videos help a bit. Big hugs! 🥰♥️♥️

Dear Jeannie, this video is like watching my grandma take a look through all the old albums and stuff. In fact this never happened because my grandparents died when I was 10 but it just feels like it. This may sound weird but it's healing old wounds. A big thank you from the bottom of my heart! ❤️ Greetings from Germany!

Hello Jeannie! As a history student, I find it wonderful that you are able to delve into many old documents and photographs in order to find out more about your ancestry! There has to always be at least one historian in the family - to protect, preserve and teach the precious past as we go on forth into the future, it is just so valuable. Thank you for your delightful chit chat every week, sending you love and and congratulations on 50k!

When both sets of my grandparents passed away, we went in to clean their houses. I found such wonderful treasures in each house. My favorite item found was a history my dad's mom wrote about each of her children's childhood. It was so neat! My dad comes from a pretty emotionally closed family so it was great to read about the love she felt for each of her 6 kids. I am making copies of the book to give to each of my sibling's for a Christmas gift this year❤

@@JeannieBASMR I love all your old memorabilia! I could only wish to have such family items like such. I lost everything shortly after my divorce, as my storage unit with absolutely everything that mattered to me, was auctioned off sadly. I still can't believe it actually happened to me! It took 4 yrs for my daughter to forgive me & speak to me again. During which time she gave birth to my first two grandbabies & I sadly missed all of it! I've had an extremely rough life since about age 8.... It has definitely left me quite resilient nowadays. My daughter Tanner & her lil family is back in my life thankfully too. Hopefully all the awful things & incidents will only be a thing of the past now!🙏🏼🤞🏼🥰 Shockingly I still have my humor left within me, which you wouldn't normally see in someone who has experienced so many tragedies. Someday I may do a video explaining how ASMR was actually the only thing that has worked in getting me to be able to sleep at night. Pills etc has never worked for me for some reason, but ASMR worked magically!🥰 I'm not sure how I got sidetracked into blabbing about such, so I'll shush up for now lol... Postcards were the texting of the 1890s! I have some albums from ancestors too . . . so fun to read! "We're having a dance on Saturday, hope you can come, oh, and Pa wants his saddle back." Miss Jeannie, thank you for your content. I especially loved the Tiger Beat and Seventeen magazine chat. We must be close in age. Oh and that Sears catalog. My childhood flashed before my eyes. Thank you :) Also loved your horse stories. I am wondering what you studied in college and what you hoped to "do for a living" when you were young. Sorry if you answered this already. You just have so many interests so I an m curious! Did you meet your husband in college? Thanks again, love to you and family.

That’s a lot to cover! Lol! Yes - I love that comparison of post cards to texts! Met my husband through mutual friends at a bbq. Studied bio sciences, business, and eventually winemaking (viticulture and oenology.)

I live very close to Skagway, I think you’re correct that it’s the man on the right! How strange to be listening to asmr and to hear about so close to my little town! That was very cool

I guess it’s the guy in the far left - to my great-grandmother’s right. Crazy, right? You should Google him - he was right in your backyard! 😁

wow, I am speechless! My family unfortunately does not have much documentation past my grandmother (and I’m 22!) so this is absolutely incredible to me. I would love to see photos of my great/great-great grandparents.

Woah! 50,000 subscribers!? I swear you just had 35,000 last week. And to me, 50k is a huge milestone, but I remember the days when 10,000 meant you were making it big.
