Jeannie, I was born in 1962. My favorite things about the 70's was that it was a lot more innocent times compared to today. We didn't have cell phone, computers and endless entertainment at our fingertips. We had our imagination and being outdoors until it was time to come in. The music was the most diverse and best in my opinion.

Exactly. Kids had a lot more freedom. We used to play in a construction zone across the street and never gave a thought to the nails and bricks and other items lying around. We were smart enough to know not to step on them! No helmets or kneepads when we rode our bikes. Freedom.....

I was born in 1968 so the 70’s were a bit before my time as I was only a child in Primary school, but I do remember all the things that were mentioned in the magazine. I live in Australia so things would have been different here, but I was a fan of all the TV shows and ABBA were my favourite group. My sister was a teenager in the 70’s so I learned a lot of things back then from her. They were fun times, but am glad you will do a video on the 80’s as that’s more my era and in my opinion the best decade. I am a fan of retro and often fantasise about the world still living in that era. They were the best years for a lot of reasons and I am so blessed to have been a part of it. Even my daughter who is 21 says it was a better time especially for music.

Born in mid 60’s and loved most everything you spoke about! Led Zep ( especially Mr Page) .. my sister dragged me to Song Remains the same ( she was 6 years older and my mother told me “ just go with her” because I didn’t want to 😂- boy did she regret that later when I blasted Led Zeppelin all day😂). But like you, I loved all music back then. I was too young to see those bands back then but I did see Robert Plant , Jimmy Page, Jason Bonham ( John’s son) as well as Heart, Rod Stewart, and others later in life. Such a great time to grow up in general, although I know not for everyone unfortunately. I was so happily not aware of all the horrible news like kids are today 😢

MAMA J, you've returned 🤩🙌 gosh, you're a sight for sore eyes. I hope that your travels both refreshed your soul and restored your inspiration as you come back to this virtual community of ours - each and every clip and picture sure made it seem like it was nothing short of magical. I saw the picture of Natalie Wood and gasped. My murder mystery-obsessed mother and I have watched just about every documentary there is about her death, but gosh, I never realized just how stunning she was in life. I love watching these videos, because I love the sense of classic beauty (and occasionally "Old Hollywood" glam) we get glimpses of with the celebs featured therein.

The "Once Ubiquitous, Now Extinct" portion showing 8-tracks and vinyl records is funny, if only because vinyl collecting has come back in a huge way over the last 10 years, to the point where it's CDs that are long obsolete. I also didn't know Betamax was a Sony product. But they'd eventually win the video war in the 2010s when Blu-Ray overtook regular DVDs.

I’d read the business page in the Boston Globe when I was a teenager (in the 80’s, born in 72)speculating on what’s a safe stock option (I said anything “needed” like companies that made t-paper, q-tips, toothpaste. I remember telling my 9-years-older cousin and him asking me why I didn’t just read the “funnies” and I said they were boring! (Do i own any of that stock that I recommended back then? Nope 😂) I was omg a weirdo!
