Interesting video - I was a lower middle class kid in the 1970s. I didn't have much to entertain me so if there was a Woman's Day magazine in the house I would read it cover to cover, ads and all, and many times over. Amazingly, I remember pretty much every page of this issue.

Jeanie, you’ve got that right: there’s room for everyone to join the ASMR space. Not too long ago, there were very few creators doing these videos. There are ASMR creators I use specifically for sleep, folks I listen to when folding laundry, and I watch you when I’m feeling anxious. percolator coffee has that "something", fuller flavor perhaps and lingering aroma....it's different than french press but IMHO, it's not better. It's an experience. My sister in law swears by her Keurig and can't believe she ever waited for percolated coffee. If it's between those two, I choose percolation every time. Too much plastic convenience in the world today. I miss the analog days with a fierceness.

I meant to comment this weeks ago, but I fell asleep and just now remembered…I think this is the video with the corelle ad: my grandma had the Daisy ones and we loved them. They were used constantly but stayed so pretty and I vividly remember eating pancakes and bacon off them. She boxed them all up about 10 years ago (she had every piece Corelle made, from the butter dish to the serving bowls) and she gave them to me. I was keeping them for when me and Brad have a lake cabin someday, but I decided to get them out and use them. My toddler is currently running around with one of the cereal bowls and I’m just like “wow this entire family really got the money out of those dishes…50 years and still going strong…” 😂😂😂

Hi lovely Jeannie, here we are again in our era - love going back to the 70s with you. I am fascinated to see your U.S. magazines and see how many similarities there are to the British ones - same clothes, home decor (avocado bathroom suites were big over here 🙈 with ) and lots of brands still going strong today. My highlights are the polyester and crimplene clothes fabrics which were pretty itchy and sweaty in the heat and you wouldn’t want to get too close to a match 🔥in them! We have better fabrics now. Were crochet ponchos as big in the U.S. as they were over here? Thank you for this gem of a video. ❤Apollo x

Love magazine turning. Remember Rona Barrett? That is a great 1970's gossip magazine!
