The art style reminds me of Nihei, the author of BLAME! and Knights of Sidonia. He's a good reference point for Mothership anyway, his transhumanist scifi mixed with frequent body horror is a great fit for the tone of the game.

I really like that dungeon design. The less the better. I might actually do something similar for two of the games I run. They players are trying to go through wilderness searching for a hidden location. It's not quite open world situation, but has various paths they might go through

11:40 huh. neat word. > Samizdat was a form of dissident activity across the Eastern Bloc in which individuals reproduced censored and underground publications by hand and passed the documents from reader to reader. Wikipedia Also "Sink"? Like... nasty, grimy kitchen sink? Ew. Love it.

I was trying to figure out what to GM for a friend's birthday shindig on the first of February and as he is a HUGE Aliens fan, I just picked up all 3 Mothership pamphlets on the strength of your amazing overviews. Thanks.

Sometimes I get so angry when you do reviews because I immediately want the product and don't have money right now, hahaha. You've really sold me on three or four RPGs at least! You're definitely one of the better reviewers out there IMO. Best of luck on your book!

Mothership is pay what you want. You can type $0 and play it for free meanwhile. Then pay whatever you feel is a good price :-)

Sounds like a blast. Maybe one day I’ll get to play something like this as opposed to DMing all the time

one of the fonts looks a lot like neon genesis evangelion, maybe thats one part why you get that mecha/anime vibe

I haven't run anything with it yet but Mothership has to be one of the finest OSR products I've had the pleasure of Kickstarting over & over. So dang good.

OK. I need to know. What kind of camera are you using and how do you get these overview shots? I know a guy that's just using a cell phone and it's a bit distracting when he is holding his phone in one hand and flipping pages with the other.

It's a Logitech c920 webcam attached to a PVC pipe frame that goes over the table.

I'm guessing "0,45 kg of flesh" wouldn't have worked as well.

And it wouldn't fit as well with the Shakespearean themes.

This book is designed for individuals with 20/20 vision. Looks like a great game though. (OK. 20/10.)
