Just found this guy while looking for new tunes. I'm 69 and my life has been a joke since birth. Alcoholic dad, womanizer . Every Saturday night the cops would haul his ass off to jail. 5 of us young siblings would watch my mama cry and get beat. Sunday morning, he'd be out, back in the bedroom with the door locked making promises to my mom. Continuing cycle of violence. Marine Corps for me at 17. Mom signed. Too long of story about that. Back then we never cried PTSD. You just said, fuck it, don't mean nothing. Three failed marriages and close to 100 jobs later I walked out of the fog. Then my Marine brother and son, also combat grunts committed suicide. Back into the fog. Whiskey...never say no. Anyway, this guy and his music touches my bloody soul. I listen to this song at least 5 times a day. Love ya bro. Keep on giving us your heart on a platter.

Millions of miles roads in this cruel mess of a world. Some end up on the smooth roads while others truck along on the gravel. Just keep the faith that there is still a destination regardless of what road you are on.

1st heard you play this opening for Chris Knight. You brought the place to their knees pouring your heart out for us all. One of the single greatest songs I have ever heard. My wife and I have been enjoying your songs ever since and got to see you in Rocky Point a few weeks back. Your set was a highlight. Keep up the amazing work my brother. You have a gift for sure.

So many people can relate to this song. I'm 43 and have been addicted on and off for over 20 years .. Currently sober...Again a relatable song. Some of us have done some things we aren't proud of in order that we might feed the addiction that was riding our back. Because of the grace of God I'm sober.

Only just discovered JD Graham days ago when A Pound of Rust came up on my Amazon Music list. I haven't "lived" the lyrics as so many others have, but the beauty and preciously rare authenticity and transparency of his music blew me away. It is men like JD Graham that can change the world for better.
