I've been using Pound of Love for decades. It's my go-to yarn for much of my charity knitting - baby blankets, chemo caps, prayer shawls, scarves, mittens, cowls, pet beds and crate rugs, whatever comes up as a need. I just got a new kitten, and am going to crochet her a bed in the next few days. POL is the perfect yarn in my opinion.

I ❤Pond of Love! It’s wonderful for sweaters, cardigans especially. It makes them snuggly warm, but also lightweight depending on the sweater. It’s great cause you don’t have hundreds of ends sticking out of the gorgeous gift you made a loved one . My favorite thing about it is the consistency. Every skein is soft and has the same color no matter when or where you bought it. You can always count on it.

The last skein of Pound of Love I used was defective. About 25% of the yardage was missing part of the strands; went down to about a lace weight thickness. Prior to that, it was my favorite acrylic because I make and donate dozens of baby blankets each year.

@LionBrandYarn About 2 years ago, I purchased 2 skeins of Pound of Love for a project. The first skein had a couple of joins; (not an issue). The second skein was fine until I had used about 75%, and then there were strands missing from most of the remainder of that skein. I purchased a value yarn from another source and remade the blanket. (It was a commissioned blanket with a diamond pattern in white.)

Is this supposed to be pulled from the outside or from the inside. I generally put from the inside but most times, when I get to the last quarter or so, it gets tangled. I spent over an hour untangling one skein. Any tips to prevent that? Also, I'd love more bright choices.

That depends on the stitch and craft that you're using but somewhere from 28-32 inch blanket with one ball.
