Excavate Warlock did see a bit of a resurgence in standard when Whizbang's Workshop first released thanks to Endgame to revive the Drillfist.

I know it might seem like pandering but you helped me realize the beauty that is Sing-Along Buddy. It is genuinely one of my fav cards and I love playing it with your Cleaveland Hunter deck! One thing to note about the scorpion is that the spells costing 1 enables them to be duplicated with Sonya

This video is naturally going to be shorter / less informative since excavate is such a new mechanic, but it's still really cool to see all the Azerite Animals so I made it anyway

I like the nameless one in priest because it disables a lot of cards while being on curve. Specifically Death knight.

I kinda dont like how later on more classes got excavate rewards. I think the theme was that "evil" classes will get excavate rewards, wich Im not sure paladin fits well

I mostly play Arena, but I just noticed... I've never seen the paladin or dk rewards played lmao

Huh? You're playing this mode and haven't seen any of them played, that's extremely rare I believe from my arena experience

@@Corrupted I think they did some changes in drafting after nerfs ( or rather ban geist and growfin ), because now i managed to hit pally reward consistently in current run

Slagmaw is such a cool concept for a minion but it’s just ruined by it’s execution, I love all these underrated Legendaries so I hope sometime down the line, Slagmaw would be a playable card in a good deck. Design wise, I think it’s one of my favorite cards that I’ve seen.

2:23 Hanzo Hazashi....Scorponok (Gen2 and Beast Wars)...the Zoids Scorpion....Spiderman's Scorpion....in any good game in these 12 years there's a boss Scorpion. Why in God's Blue Earth did you have to unearth that CGI blob?!?

my favorite card is Lost in the Park. i tried so hard to make it work when it came out but there just wasn't enough support, but now there's free spirit and groovy cat and i have a deck good enough to win in wild 🥰

Fav card right now is Saddle Up. Love the art love the effect. I personally hate the excavate mechanic as I feel it takes away from deck building. Great PPTs.

I think you should consider putting a small refresh on what the main mechanic does at the beginning of the video. I don't play hearthstone anymore having left in united in stormwind, but I like to keep up with it/enjoy game design. I think there are a lot of people who watch hearthstone content for that imo. otherwise love the videos dude 👍

Favorite card is probably either wildheart guff because it enables druid to do funny ramp things (not otk druid) or nozdormu the timeless just because paladin gets ramp so dragon paladin go brrrrrrrrrr

The funniest interaction I pulled off playing excavate rogue was getting azerite snake (as I became lord jaraxxus because I got him off a swashburglar) and hitting exactly lethal with that battlecry.

excavate mage with skeletons was pretty fun before rotation in standard, but the wild player in me is deeply upset by sets stuffed full of parasitic mechanics : (

There ir much to commentate on excavate beyond comparing classes. Variety in the pool of random drops, how every excavate card is a natural 2x1, how insane are some of the prizes (aoe, target removal, stats), the fact that you can discover free 2,3 and costs from an insanely large pool. Personally I really dislike excavate, specially in arena they are very good card by themselves that reward you with a good payoff and provide an insane wincon, they always keep your hand stacked so there is no resource management or thinking just pray for good rng.

Favorite HS card is still classic Yogg from Whispers. A lot of people hated it, and i can respect that, but i still very much love Yogg. Win or lose.

my favorite card has to be either ragnaros lightlord or DK jaina, they were some of my all time cards back in the day and i still have very fond memories of them. excavate as a mechanic is really cool and im enjoying it a lot, very happy blizzard managed to make a synergistic set like this that actually works well, though i wish the shaman and mage packages were a little stronger.
