Have ever thought of getting a livestock guardian dog. I couldn't have anything without mine. Now granted i have all my birds penned except a couple rogue roosters because my dogs sometimes eat the occasional bird. I have 3 acres fenced with the barn and bird pens in the middle. A skunk got in the fence and the dogs made quick work of it.

It is crazy how many predators can come up in one night. One night I stayed up and watched and counted 14 raccoons at one time ( so not a repeat visitor) along with skunks, opossums, owls, and close up coyotes. Also having visited but not that night a bobcat and a big cat ( you know the kind the fish and game says aren't in Kansas) So be careful out there after dark because that big one was seen by a neighbor near our house one night.

could have been a baby fox thats not on its mom anymore. plus your going into fall and winter so predators will be issues hope u catch whatevers been killing your stock. raccons are big problems two.

weird to have so many animals and care so little about them that scores of them disappear and not even notice. growing up on a farm every pet and live stock were always accounted for thats why its hard for me to understand why have them if theres little care in protecting them. God knows on average our farm animals are not bred for self defense against most predators.
