Is there a way to work in divine if needed? I like more CD so I don't want to sacrifice any of that. Would it be ok to swap out soul gem for divine and then get sands, or should I just choose a different build if divine is needed?

Divine often replaces tablet, otherwise buy divine instead of charon's.

Whilst watching the playins, Nika and PBM were saying Charons Coin isn't good and some of the other items should be built in its place. What are you thoughts on this Ven? Its making me question my builds even though before hand I was confident and doing well..

You'd be wrong then. A couple pro players did a lot of maths on builds and found out Pendulum - Book of Thoth - Tablet - Soul gem - Ethereal staff - obsidian shard or soul reaver is the current best build or an alternate one with chronos pendant and conduit gem for gods that need early cooldown

you wont find any pro players buliding much more pen then this, if theyre getting any extra pen is incendtal

Soul Reaver's passive is essentially pen, and Tablet does True Damage. It's definitely enough.
