BEDDING UPDATE: the sheets are great, as predicted. What I like most about them is that they feel high-quality but unfussy. Boutique hotel vibes. They’re also nice and cool (I’m a hot sleeper). We’ve never had white sheets before, Joe was worried that they would get dirty immediately but it’s been exactly a week since I filmed this and they still look lovely and fresh. I’m grateful to have received them as part of this sponsorship, what a treat ❤️ Thank you for watching!!!

Regardless of the price of the shirt (😱), I've learned that if I have a slight doubt with the item in the store, that doubt will get bigger at home and I'll never wear (or use) the item as intended.

It took me far too many years to learn this ha. It's so hard when you are in love with an aspect of the garment, especially when it's unusual and unlikely to be found on another garment. But I it doesn't feel right it will just kept getting tried on and put right back in my closet for something that fits better.

Ps. The shirt is cute but the proportions are off. It makes your long torso look shorter. If it weren’t as expensive, it could be a cute addition but you want it to be an easy throw on piece and unfortunately it is not it. ...

The depth of colour, the enigmatic shapes - they are gorgeous! 😍 and I 100% relate to the desire to do something with your hands - I'm a big knitter and there's something about using your hands to make something that's just so satisfying, especially when we spend so much of our lives in virtual spaces. Hi Hannah, I find myself using your videos as relaxing background podcasts while I do my own work. It doesn't matter if the topic is something that currently applies to me or not, I always find your approach to be so calming and understanding. You never come across as judgmental, but yet recognize that your audience is struggling through many of the same things. Thank you so much for all the work you put into these videos and for making us stop and take a pause during this hectic life. 🌹

I wanted to thank you for these vlogs. I happened upon your channel much earlier in the year, and I love the beauty/fashion content, and I really love the grounded way you talk about these things that bring me so much joy but in which I can easily get lost and lose sight of grounded reality. But these moving in/setting up home vlogs are so lovely and wonderful and feel especially perfect to me right now. I don't usually do long comments, but I feel like a bit of backstory would help. I just (Saturday, May 14) graduated from an MFA program in creative writing, concentrating on creative nonfiction with as much poetry worked in as I could manage. That's been *a thing,* and the sudden absence of that thing has been a big relief and also a huge source of grief and bizarreness. In August, I'll be starting a PhD in English literature elsewhere in my state, and it will require a move. My husband and I have lived in our big-city apartment for twenty-one years now (I literally just did that math and yikes). We just (the contract came into being on Sunday, May 15) bought a house in our (soon-to-be ours) charming college town, and we'll be moving at the end of June. Overwhelmed is an understatement. Definitely excited but deeply overwhelmed. ALL THIS TO SAY, your vlogs about making a house feel like a home and working through tasks and staying in your body and grounded in space have been such a respite and a relief for me. They make the next several months feel so much less overwhelming and so much more exciting. This is not me tearing up. Anyway, thank you for ALL of your content. It's all my favorite. But these vlogs are just especially relevant and wonderful right now. (Also all the Sadie shots in this particular video. Love!) Thank you, and I'm so sorry for this novel of a comment!

I’d been toying with the idea of splurging on some nice Brooklinen bed linens when I move to a new place in a few months, and I think seeing them on your bed & hearing your experience with them has sealed the deal!! I love this vlog! I love the Sadie art! (I love the Sadie!) The duck/goose thing is adorable. The blouse is so pretty but I do agree that the peplum is not hitting at just the right spot. And oh the avalanche of moving! A little at a time is the key, you've got this!

White bedding is the kind of thing I love for other people, like cream couches. Unfortunately I have a furry pug and an even furrier husband. When we travel , the result makes me want to projectile vomit. Since I can’t commit to laundering every day, I just buy darker sheets to obscure the detritus 🤮 But not too dark because those skeeve me out too, like something nasty is lurking. So I usually go with a Heather grey or HeatherEd blue. Just dark enough without being skeevy 👍🏽

When you first showed the top, I thought it was great but as you showed how you want to wear it and how it should sit, I saw that it _could be_ gorgeous. I feel like great pieces will always feel bad when you know for yourself what potential they could have, even if they already look good. It doesn't feel as nice to wear them as equally beautiful pieces without that potential. Also picturing Sadie sitting on the head rest while you're reading made me smile

Nice bed linens are so worth spending the extra money on & if you have pets that share your bed with you --cotton, machine washable comforter covers or bedspreads are a must. My master bedroom is in monochromatic tones of pale blue(walls & curtains), grey( tufted roll armchair, tufted bench, & laquered tv armoire/picture frames) & white(trim, doors, glass door display cabinet & lamp shades/picture frames) Finding a non floral, patterned bedspread/comforter that wasn't dry clean only was a real chore. (Tried solid white & solid blue but just preferred how the paisley-medallion pattern in blues & grey on white background pulled the room together & broke up the big blocks of solid color. I love monochromatic/analagous color schemes but need texture or pattern in there somewhere for visual interest) I thought the blouse looked good on you & really showed off how small your waist is. Sounds like it fit more like an empire waist on you than what you wanted. Anytime you have to try to make a piece of clothing work, most likely you won't wear it & it's best not to keep it. I think your decision to return it was the right one.
@erinodonnell3862 жыл бұрын
Your thought process with the top was pretty great timing for me. I just bought 3 skirts online, only ever intended to keep 1-2 but I’ve lost a lot of weight recently and have no idea what size I am right now. Anyway, I love one of the skirts but it works with nothing I own. I also worry that because of the material it might shrink. I bought one in a size that’s slightly too big and one that wound up fitting me pretty perfectly but I know I wouldn’t like it if it shrank in any significant way. Love the skirt but it might just not be the right purchase for me right now. I’ll have to look around and see if I can find something of a similar cut in a different fabric.
