Wearing the 11:11 quad today, still love it as much as the first day, only thing I don't love is I have a hard time getting all those fine mica flakes off my face at the end of the day. I use a cleansing oil and a microfiber cloth, followed by a gentle cleansing foam, but it always leaves me with sparkles scattered over my face. Still worth it though.

ages ago colourpop did a collab with a girl and make a wish foundation, she made an eyeshadow that was a mid-tone brown with gold glitter, i loved it, and it just made the most beautiful eye, and you could wear it alone. i would take a guess and say it was much like the roen quad that you love

Idk if you already know about it, but when you completely pan that elf highlight, elf does have a "shimmer" cream palette in the black version of that same packaging. I'm unsure if it's the same formula or if you'd even want the "extra thing" but I imagine it would be worth a shot considering how much you use that quad, and the fact that you've previously gravitated to "the new" even if you already have your favorite.

I find that I’m not very fickle but I have too much makeup and sometimes stray from my loves to try new things. I have lost that loving feeling for most Tom Ford makeup, but still love my foundation stick. I also still love the Estee Lauder Victoria Beckham collab pink lipstick and want it back! My dupe search hasn’t found the perfect color match for that perfect pink shade. I can almost dupe the collab VB/Estee Lauder primer by mixing the current VB primer with Auric Morganite - and may even like the mix better. But that lipstick still haunts me.

Since you adore the packaging of the Picasso lipstick but are lukewarm on the color, you could use a lipliner to alter the color or layer it with another lip product to tone down the pinkness. The easiest way is to top it with a lipgloss but not everyone likes changing the matte finish of a lipstick by applying a gloss over it. That's why I think a lipliner is probably the best way to go (& least expensive)

I was really tempted by Zeesea after your review (and @MiasVirtualVanity, too). They have some VERY aesthetically gorgeous products that I've really considered purchasing seriously. However, when I went to their website (with a fairly high chance of making a purchase purchase), I was ultimately put off and decided not to support the brand with my dollars at this time, because sadly, the range of their base products is one of the VERY WORST I've ever seen... They have several foundation products but each one only has between 2 and 4 shades!!! The couple shades each product *does* have are SO similar they are nearly indistinguishable, plus they're extremely light (they would *nearly* work for me and I need a lighter base than you do - I'm that light!)... I wasn't even interested at all in purchasing any base products from them (I wanted some of the more unique "themed", artistically packaged items like the lipsticks or eye palettes, etc), but I've been trying to be more aware of whether brands are being inclusive across the board in their products (e.g. Hourglass... 🙄) and try not to support brand that are not, even IF they *would* still work for my particular skin tone. Anyway, just wanted to share because I know you're always bringing these issues to the forefront and might be interested to know if you weren't already aware. 💕

Many south east asian beauty brands only have a few very light shades of foundation. Skin lightening/whitening is a huge thing there and being super pale is an entrenched beauty convention. Brands like Koh Gen Do have expanded their shade range to include several shades for deeper skin tones and are still dragged for not being inclusive because they don’t have 25 or 30 shades... There is not the same demand in their area for deeper shades!

The foundations are developed for the East Asian market though, it looks like they only developed lipsticks and eyeshadows for the Western market. It's not fair to say they're not being inclusive when their population is different from the population in Western countries. Many Asian Americans turn to Asian beauty brands because Western shades don't have the same undertones for Asian skin.
