Please keep the curtains up high. It makes the room look more spacious. Every designer I have watched says that curtains mounted higher above the top of the window is the best look.

I just discovered you before the move. I really enjoy your videos, you seem sensible and balanced. I also really appreciate the fact that you don’t drop the fbomb every other word like so many content creators. Curtain 411, If you’re like me and want the Pottery Barn look on a budget, hang your curtain rods as high as you possibly can to give the room a grander feel. To really pull it off, you’ll need 96” or longer curtain panels (they should go to the floor). A single long curtain rod on that wall would mask the off center windows and give the illusion you have a wall of windows. 4 panels would give it a full, lux look. You seem so much happier having people around. Congrats on the move!

@@debredhead9199 Yes. I was just thinking the same thing. Leave the rods up high but those panels should go all the way to the floor. That will make the place look really luxe.

Would you consider replacing the two curtain rods with one long one across both windows? If you go for a nice long one so you have a good amount of space either edge of the windows, you can hang you curtains so that they cover the least amount of window when they're open but still look full, and the middle two panels can meet in the middle. You're right to go as high as you can with the rods, it will look Great! Just a thought. I really enjoyed seeing the snippets of your dance show in the last video, you and your fellow dancers looked really good!

Yes!! Coming from an architect and interior designer also do one rod and the almost the entire wall length, also buy more curtain than you need. You also want the bracket to be wider so the curtains can actually open the entire way

Yes curtains can be so annoying! I totally feel you. For a grander, chic look curtains should be hung as close to the ceiling as possible, which is prob why youre leaning toward the higher set. Also to make the windows look bigger, generally you want a much longer curtain rod such that open curtains dont cover the windows at all. The window in the corner is def harder to work around...there are lots of curtain articles / tutorials online. You're doing great!!

Good job on the chest of drawers you built!!!. It's always good to have a ratchet screwdriver, Dewalt has one for about 20 bucks, can be a life saver, cheap ones fall apart, spend the 20. Love your channel, have a fantastic tomorrow and see ya next time.

Great job. I hate building things. It stresses me out. My husband & 2 grown kids are good at it and like it. Your place will come together. Maybe another light for the kitchen? The bedroom curtains are pretty. Happy to see Bennett running out the door, lol. Nice of your roomies to bring you Dunkins.

Don’t be too defeated by the curtains, when I moved when I drilled a hole half the wall (plaster not the actual wall) fell to the floor. I find it a little crazy that you’re 8 hours behind me in NYC (I’m in the UK) but your sun set is the exact same time 😮 x

Your room is looking great and the curtains really soften up the place. Can't wait to see the whole apartment when it's all done. One thing I have noticed is that you/American women vloggers seem to get semi-opaque curtains or those thin bamboo blinds. When it's dark out and your light is on people can see in from outside. Do you always change with the light off or in the bathroom? I know I am such a granny asking this, ha, ha, but it's something I have been wondering about because I see it so often 🤔😂
