I think that’s because we’re motivated but motivated by our passions and curiosities… if the science of learning or self improvement sounds more interesting to me on a given day, I’ll put all my effort into that instead of the reading I was supposed to do for class or the email I was supposed to write!

It's totally me. I make to-do lists daily, make time blocks, there is a lot of paper stuck on my wall showing my goals and plans but I always have hard time to stick to the schedule and my plans. I tried to overcome it in many ways but why is it so hard? 😢

Oh my goodness, this is so accurate 😂. I have to focus and throw my laziness away to achieve my goals. I recently deleted games(5v5 moba games) because it's like an addiction. These games drag me down with stress like... you know....my teammates sucked, I can't carry the match alone since it's 5v5. Also, I don't want to waste my time anymore in the games since my dream career ain't built on them. I struggled a lot to quit games. Now, I feel free but one thing is that I need to focus more to achieve my goals.

How do you handle your brain being the distraction? I've put my phone away, sat in a quiet room alone with nothing but myself and a blank screen, but my brain decides to take over and think about things unrelated to the studying I want to do. It's really difficult to just shut that off. I find myself only being able to do it at limited intervals (an hour or so) at seemingly random times during the week.
