In your deep work session i would suggest u take boring breaks because if u take breaks which are more stimulating than the task you're doing then it lowers the efficiency and you will get less work done
@KoiAcademy3 ай бұрын
I would say that if you take boring breaks you'll get tired more and get sleepier. On the flip side, if you do more stimulating work, you'll be more excited and fresher.

1. Build your focus by measuring the time you’re focused in the subject. 2. Build your “mental muscle” by stressing and relaxing your focus-pomodore method(25’ focused and 5’ rest). 3. Drills: practice in the same way you’ll be tested on the test day. Practice how you aer going to play. Prioritise active recall vs passive. 4. Show up every day. Do the hard work even if you don’t feel like it.

I also think that the university has changed. Learning in the 19th/20th cent used to be just exploring what you were interested in, so it was easy for people to spend hours on it (think Darwin writing the theory of evolution... or Victor Frankenstein in his room). Now, it's about learning what other people tell you to learn. No wonder it's so hard to focus! (Especially with ADHD, where ADHD used to be a trait of geniuses)
