Water hose tip: when prepping to put back in storage, connect male to female ends. This avoids any water to spill out when traveling. Also, no bugs/critters can get into the hose😉

I remember seeing this other creator going to a campground every 2 weeks to relax, clean her van, do her laundry, and all her things. Maybe that would be easier than burning gas running around? I believe she tops off water, dumps water, and other stuff included in campground fee. 👀

When you’re parked at your moms, run some string lights under your van. Keep them on all night long. The light deters mice.

Maddie: Something that may be useful for you to know. You can use a spray bottle filled with warm water then put a few drops of the peppermint oil in it. Just don't spray it in an enclosed space when humidity is high. Spray it in your wheel wells and tires. It's not necessary to use plain straight peppermint oil this will save your oil and money ✌️❤️

When you get tired of dealing with your natures head toilet check out the Trelino toilet less bulky easier to maintain and less expensive and you don’t have to haul it out of your van to clean it 😎

There must be an opening(s) in the van somewhere - mice can squeeze through spaces you thought were (way) too small! If their skull can fit - their body can fit! Plus, rats/mice have hinged rib cages and their skulls have soft spots which contributes to their flexibility. You can seal (all) holes (for vents, plumbing, and wiring) in the van with steel wool, caulk, or hardware cloth. I always look forward to your videos!

When you were talking about your bullet journals and reflecting on things, it got me thinking about my journals. They're not bullet Journal but I do have journals that I write in about places I visit, trips I take, cool people I've met, and experiences I have. The thing I like about it is that whenever I feel depressed and stuff, the journals really help me to remember the good times and all the things that I've seen and experienced along the way and it helps to get me out of whatever slump I'm in and get me back on track. I hope you have a wonderful time with your Mom and I hope the new year brings you a lot of joy and happiness. Happy New Year.

I bought a bottle of Peppermint oil-infused soap a few years ago to mix with neem oil to deal with an aphid infestation in the garden. Worked pretty well. Hopefully no aphids in vans (although they love certain houseplants like spider plants), but it's probably a lifetime supply so who knows. Since they work to deter mice I might try it in the garden next spring to deter squirrels, which are also rodents and which I normally like since they're so cute and adorable just not when they're digging up the planters for acorns they never buried there. While you have access to power you could run an extension cord out to van and run a dehumidifier for a couple of days to get the moisture out of your home .

Always good to have reliable home base! Sounds like you had a good holiday there. Another way of using peppermint oil around your van is to put some in a spray bottle with a little water. Then you can easily spray wherever you want. Have a great New Year!

Doing a motorhome life reset and well I’ve been stuck so far and can’t get motivated me. Watching you complete your reset is encouraging! It would be nice to have a stationary place with laundry, meals etc just to purge and then deep clean. Living full time motorhome since 2015. #theBeachNest

FYI...you put your Teflon tape on the water fitting backwards and sometimes will leak because it bunches up when you screw the fitting in. Just a heads up incase you developed a leak at that connection inside of the box. Happy Travels

Tilex Mold+ Mildew spray. Pro tip,don't close up vans/ travel trailers/ motorhomes etc. Allow constant ventilation,don't keep them tightly sealed,like a lot of Glampers do, especially in high humidity areas,like PNW. A large amount of moisture from respiration,must be released,ceiling fans/ bathroom fans should run often.

Happy Holiday Maddie, that's quite an accomplishment you did BRAVO! Always nice to go into the new year like that fresh start, (which I am trying to organize stuff myself). I didn't know peppermint oil bays the mice away. Can you put peppermint oil in a spray bottle and dilute or does it have to be a full dose?
