Everything and anything you care to share we love. I love the ground work and also love the home build. Cannot believe that Sawyer is so big already, it seems I was just watching you going to the hospital and all that took to get him here safe and sound..........all you do takes my breath away and at 78 it seems like we were just going through the same things you are.....and yet we've been here 50 years on our property. It is a lot of constant repeated maintenance but so fulfilling and we do actually fall in love with our places and bring children and grandchildren and now great grandchildren to our home. Life goes too fast.........hold on tight and enjoy each moment! Blessings

Sawyer is certainly getting a vocabulary together now and speaks very clearly. I loved how Crusoe gets his budza and digs the side of the road and says he is Mario. He is such a cutie. They are such lovely little boys. They get so excited when Mario comes with his digger. we all love a digger day and yes to the bio pool in fact the renovations too a bit of everything thanks. Our biggest problem with the pond in the pasture was the tree leaves falling in during fall and winter creating a fair amount of debris maintenance. We also use a solar powered fountain for water agitation, and a solar aeration device with six aeration stones on the bottom of the pond to keep it oxygenated,. Had a pretty good year this year. Next time, we place it away from trees.

You will enjoy the pond . 20 years ago we had a pond Doug on our 2 acre property. My husband and I went dumpster diving to collect all the used carped we could find to line the pond before we put in the liner. He and I build a water fall had had a 30 ft. River that ran into the large pond. We then carried buckets of small rocks to line the river and pond. Larger rocks surrounded the pond about 3 ft. Wide walk way, the extra dirt formed a hill garden . I stocked it with 6 small koi and 4 large gold fish. Within 6 months there were about 200 baby fish. Later we built a deck at one of the end. This project had a life of it own. A 3 hole professional golf was added with a sand trap. Although later we moved to a golf course community the pond still brings us joy just looking at the pictures. I love your channel as you are dreamers as we are. Go for all your dreams life is to short to put off those dreams.

Would not those big rocks be great in the pool? Check out the amazing bio pool that the weed’em and reap channel had installed a few years back. They have raised fish in it, swim in it and it is so beautiful. They had to put up shading over it and their side pool which clears the water is a beautiful part of their garden. Or maybe they can be part of the walls or bottom of the pool under the liner? Definitely would like to follow the process. Don’t forget at liner time to let it warm up in the sun to become more flexible.

When I renovated the garden furniture, I sanded it all down, then cleaned all the sawdust with isopropyl alcohol before applying primer. Then a gentle sanding down of the primer to get it all even, thoroughly cleaned any dust and only then applied the wood paint. Before the second coating I also gently sanded with a 240 (or 320) grit sandpaper and a good cleaning. Turn out great (for a fist job 😅)

I keep thinking, if you cover the walkway to the tiny house,it would make the tiny house a "remote extension " of the newly built place, especially if you have a waist high rail each side, the lower section paneled in. And more pleasant to go to the office in the rainy season.

Sawyer is super - he understood first that a hammer was needed for Crusoe's mattock and I hope he gets a turn on the digger before you finish the earth moving. He's listening so intently all the time. I say this as a little sister who never got a turn on the tractor or grew up enough to help with lambing. Still scarred and I'm 54 now!

Love the land development as I love to garden, but I love to add beauty to land, and I love watching woodworking as in the second now kitchen that you all r building, your content hits all my heart strings and the fact I get to see other places as in yours in Portugal broadens my gypsy in me. I have traveled alot in my country, USA, and fortunately I have been to Europe. Im have settled and bought a house built in 1902, and have retired and giving my old house a facelift so to speak. Newby's the delay on ur bio pool is kind of a good thing! Crusoe and Sawyer first needed to know how to swim! Seeing them in the Instagram wild swim was reassuring to me and granny who is a little too overprotective!! Sawyer's putting sentences together and he's so adorable watching his big brother so brave inside Marios digger!! Absolutely adorable!!🦓🦕🦖🦍🐘

So interesting and fun to watch how you and John with your precious boys have so successfully built Portugal. Love to see it all! It is fascinating to watch John’s skill in renovating the stone house to finalize your “temporary” move, as well the completion of your biopool with Mario’s assistance to the utter delight of your boys. Hi Tara, I don’t need to see the digger digging up the pool. I would love to see when you start building the sides of the pool, and when you use it. Awe Obi ‘s wanting to heard. Our border collie love to her, My Son. He also tried to hurt a squirrel in the backyard. He was a good dog. I miss him so much. Have a great day, the kitchen looks great. Just love the way Crusoe puts his hands on his hips just like daddy does. Sawyer is speaking so well now too. I just adore obi he is such a beautiful natured dog with his little floppy ear and has such a wonderful life with you all xx
