I raised goats for many years. You need to take seriously preventative measures. Proper fencing is key - no plastic. Floor to ceiling welded wire fencing on all openings. You could even just make them temporary doors - 4 boards for a frame and the welded wire nailed to the frame.They are attracted to your property because there are great things to climb on and goats are very curious creatures. They WILL find ways to get inside - they will test every potential opening. Think like a goat!

I guess the best thing to do is hold the goat in your possession and return it to the farmer only if he pays for the damages caused
@KatrinaRoseT14 күн бұрын
@@prathimarohan4209Better to take goat prevention measures and keep good relations with neighbors, I think. 😊 It’s easy enough to gate them out of where you don’t want them. Safer for the children, too! And any livestock they may get in future. 💛

Most critters when they pee like that are marking territory. You need to block entrance, and then do a real serious deodorizing of areas they peed.

Loving to see your home and the progress you are making is impressive . Issues such as wild bore, goats etc are common. Fencing is as important in rural areas , as it is in the city . Even if you don’t have animals of your own to contain, fencing your property is usually a legal requirement. Why not install temporary doors to protect the inside of your home , electric fencing to protect your roof ? Hugs

Lots of good advice here, Re: goats that I don't need to repeat, but I wanted to advise you about that retaining wall you want to build; get an engineer to design it and put lots of water control features in from the beginning! I hope you find inspiration for uses for all of the most beautiful stones. Can't wait to see the ochre flagstone patio paving with matching walling behind the outdoor kitchen.

Hey Brady, if those bells were recorded on November 11th, it’s Remembrance Day in a lot of the world. 😊 Great work! 😎

@@luigi-r1r I seriously doubt you're right about the season. This video is the fall season now. I've lived in Italy for 3 quarters of my long life and can assure you we've never had June/July weather in the month of November, specially at the foot of the Alps. Usually by this time in the year we would all be wearing warm winter clothing and fur-lined boots in many areas of the country. Instead, you can see some people still in sandals and short sleeves in different parts of it, reminding me of southern California weather. Drought and floods coexist, depending on whether you live in the south or the north, and temperatures remain a constant high for the season ( sun in the Alps can be merciless too). Believe me, climate change IS everyone's new reality. The weather forecast for the coming week promises a return to "normality", whatever that means anymore. Personally, what we're saving in heating expenses we'll probably spend come June in '25.

If the video was on November 1st, it would have been All Saints Day. The bells would have been rung similar to any Sunday.

Are you going to make a water drain behind the new to build wall and under the terrace to get the water away ? it could get a waterfall from rainwater in the to build outdoor area since its all stone and no soil.

That hillside scares me a bit , is it stable ? Any history of minor landslides in the region ? 😮

It would be wonderful to have an herb graden by your outdoor kitchen. And even a smaller garden to grow arugala /cilantro/parsley/tomatoes. Perhaps a grape arbor? And- to have water feature! It is going to be amazing! Such gorgeous stones!

Just saw this channel for the first time. What about the outdoor concrete-looking staircase - is it supported, probably…? And, I wouldn't trust that hillside that’s behind the new flat area, from sliding down during some possible weather event. But, I‘m just a casual observer - anyway, stay safe with all your quality work.

A wood fired oven would be an amazing feature of the outdoor kitchen, especially with the gorgeous stones you guys have available. Keep up the good work!
