Robbie, loved your fishing in little creeks in the N E. For years I have been going to Mt Beauty and Bright and have often wondered about some of the Ovens back water just beyond Markwood as you enter back into the valley from the Hume. Have you ever tried these? Some will not have been linked to the Ovens river, but seem always full of water. Worth a try? Cheers, Otto

G'day Otto, I'm so sorry mate but I'm not sure exactly which waterway you are talking about. Markwood is quite a long way from the Hume Freeway. Sorry mate. 🙏
@OVTraveller21 күн бұрын
@@robbiefishing Sorry Robbie, if you follow the road from the Hume high way and the short cut to Myrtleford, passed Markwood, over the hill, you drop back into the Ovens valley, several old oxbow lakes are evident on the right, full of water most of the year. I have never stopped, but have been tempted. You could get there from Wang on the Greta road in 20 minutes. Good luck, but if you miss out, back towards the high way there a some deep holes in the King where the road crosses the river. If still out of luck drop into Brown Brothers in Milawa!?

Do you think different type of worms make a difference ,there night crawlers which are compost worms and then there are earth worms.
@robbiefishing3 күн бұрын
I think there's a lot to unpack on this subject. The best worms are the ones found on the bank of where you're fishing. They're natural. As far a bought worms goes, they're all similar as far as attracting fish goes. The best ones are the biggest, the juiciest and the strongest. Worms that fall off the hook when you cast are horrible. They will catch fish... If you can keep them on the hook.
