@lisalupin1202 I hope your ribs healed up well! It was very humble of you to give an honest answer to how you got the fracture. All you can do is laugh at yourself and move on. I broke 3 metatarsals in my foot when I was standing in front of my closet picking out a work shirt. 🙄😂 I wish I had a cooler story to tell people when they'd ask how I hurt myself when I was on crutches and wearing a big boot. I can't tell ya how many people thought I was lying to them and messing around. I guess that part made it interesting at least. Lol! One second I was standing there reaching for a shirt. The next I was kind of doing one of those dances that the whacky arms things do that they put in front of car dealerships and other businesses. Then I heard 3 pops and next thing I remember, I'm laying on the ground. The nurse told me that metatarsals in your foot are some of the most painful ones to break. I don't have anything to compare it to. They're the only bones I've ever broken. I thought that I was handling the pain real well until she walked back in the room not paying attention and ran straight into my foot that I had propped up knocking it off the edge of the bed. Lol! That almost hurt worse than actually breaking it. Haha!! I thought I'd share my silly way I broke/fractured some bones to hopefully give ya a laugh. We find some funny ways to hurt ourselves sometimes. I laughed at myself quite a bit after my little closet mishap. Hope you healed up and are doing well. Best wishes!

Right so the shelter collapsed because you used sphagnum moss as a roof. It absorbs water rather than allowing it to bead off, so the weight was too much once the big storm hit. You want spruce bows, all aligned in the same direction, layered like shingles. Also, would be a good idea to do just a little research on wild edibles that may be in the area before going. You got super lucky that blackberries were in season. Just a few thoughts that might make future trips a bit safer for ya

The base of a pine branch holds fatwood will take a spark, also birch bark is water proof. 3. This Time of year check dead standing birch trees for flat like mushrooms these are edible and can’t be mistaken its called polypore use it for teas, Chaga is similar but just used for tea and looks like a bulge on birch tree’s. If you go to sweden to do some solo camping or something like that you can stay almost anywhere in the forest you dont need any permit from a land owner or something like that. Also since you can get really sick from tics id suggest get some tick/mosquito repellent lotion just to be a little bit safer. I always have som in my bag when camping and ive never ben bitten by a tic.

Great video bro, tip for next time when you build a fire in the forest clear the ground and chop away some roots first. Prefer a stone circle as well. Most forest fires start underground when the roots catch fire. You won't notice untill meters away from you small fires start. It's pretty damp there so in this case it's no big deal. Keep it going!
