I remember this being read to us and i was 8 yrs old. I thought duh.. it’s common sense stuff. Why would the prophets want to issue something like this. Fast forward to now.. i now know that these men are of God.

Absolutely, and yet I feel that there is much more to be fulfilled, “We warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets.” The calamities while here in part, are likely coming in full force, and it’s probably right around the corner…. A very sobering thought.

Indeed. We have the scriptures that teach us that in the last days evil would be taught as good and good as evil. But to see the extent of that prophecy in our current day is just staggering. That that was on the fringe in earlier days is considered mainstream and as "progress". How blessed we are to have living prophet's who adhere firmly to the revelations they receive from our Father and His Only Begotten Son whom we worship as Savior of all men.

Trying to avoid sounding prideful, but there can't be many that feel more attached to this Proclamation than me. My wife and I celebrate our 28th anniversary this September 23. Sealed for time and eternity, Thank God, in the Mesa Arizona Temple in 1995. That's right, the very day we knelt across the altar with a commitment to God, Family and The Kingdom was the very day this declaration was read. None of us are perfect but some of us go to church and desire to do the right things with repentance on our mind, so we all can be healed by the hand of Christ. You will see people that gets out of hand with the principles of God Will Fall Away one day, but we have hope that they will all change for the better. When the Lord is working with people oh, he knows that there will be some that will not perform right. In the 5 mile race not everyone will win or come in second place but they all are trying and have a choice.
