I love President Hinckley with all my heart. He came out with the inspiration to build small temples all over the world. I had just moved to Alaska in 1997 and he announced the first three small temples. Anchorage Alaska was one of those three. I believe that we doubled the amount of temples during his presidency. He was responsible for the proclamation to the family in 1995. That document is pure inspiration to prepare us for what is happening right now. The very identity of mankind is in question and it’s so sweet to know we were created male and female before this e Life. The world needs to listen to a living prophet of God, how different our world would be.

Hinckley was such a great prophet😇. He had so much compassion and spoke with boldness. I loved watching media try and stump him😂😂. They failed epically every single time they tried to get him to twist his words. He never once danced around the bush, he came right out and answered their questions without pause then silence🤐. He was EPIC 🔥🔥

My Dear Sister, please refer to him as President Hinckley and not “Hinckley”. I was brought up in an era where we show respect when referring to others more senior than us, not to mention he was an ordained and beloved Prophet of God. I’m very sensitive as I see many anti use the same kind of reference intentionally to show disdain to our church leaders. I absolutely know you didn’t mean it that way, but I cringed when I saw it. 🙏🏽💛

It should not be a surprise to anyone that the Nicene Creed is so confusing. Anything the adversary can to to corrupt/distort the imagery and personification of God, the more mystifying and impersonal He can become to His children. It's no small thing that this Marvelous Work and Wonder is so profound, and is becoming a light that can no longer be hidden!

I read the Nicene Creed myself and I didn't understand it either. But the teachings of Jesus Christ in the New Testament and the Book of Mormon are clear and beautiful. Joseph Smith's experience in the Sacred Grove is clear and POWERFUL. @haloblokbuster7991 Did you read that carefully? The first vision says all Churches are in darkness, the Great Apostasy teaches none of the Churches at the time of Joseph Smith were true, which means the gates of the netherworld did prevail, thus Smith contradicts the Bible.

@@simonfalk1337that verse refers to the rock of revelation, not the church. Hell did not prevail against revelation, it did against the people, who made up the church. Did you read Revelation 14:6-7, in which John saw in the future an angel bringing the gospel to be taught to all nations? So, if the apostasy did not happen, why would God send an angel in the future to bring back the gospel as John saw? If you had it right for the last two thousand years, why would God send an angel to bring back the gospel?

That is true -- so what? The Triune God -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -- which the doctrine of the Trinity *describes* are Present throughout the entire scriptures -- Old Testament, and New testament -- not necessarily in a single passage. Is there some requirement that every doctrine must be formed from a single passage of scripture? //// "The doctrine of the Trinity did not emerge until the fourth century." - Catherine LaCugna, The Trinitarian Mystery of God, Systematic Theology: Roman Catholic Perspectives, Vol. I, ed. Francis Schussler Fiorenza, Augsburg Press, 1991, 159. That is true -- so what? Would you rather have the heresies? //// "The actual doctrine of the Trinity had not been formulated in New Testament times." - Callan Slipper, The Shifting Pattern: Spirituality Reconsidered, Theology 101. London 1998: 275. Again -- of course not -- so what? Do you find this statement to be profound? The Doctrine of the Trinity emerged in response to heresies such as dynamic monarchianism, modalistic monarchianism, Ari- anism, Macedonianism (the Pneumatomachian heresies), and the like. The Triune God -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -- which the doctrine of the Trinity *describes* are Present throughout the entire scriptures -- Old Testament, and New testament. //// "Tradition helps us to grasp -- as we see preeminently with the doctrine of the Trinity -- that a doctrine or idea can be deemed normative for Christians despite the absence of any clear proof texts specifically teaching it." - Stephen T. Davis, Philosophy and Theological Discourse, St. Martin's Press, 1997, 57. Of course not -- so what? Yes -- that is the nature of tradition. So what? The Triune God -- Father, Son, and Holy Spirit -- which the doctrine of the Trinity *describes* are Present throughout the entire scriptures -- Old Testament, and New testament. Tradition -- also an element of cults -- can likewise cause a false doctrine or idea to be deemed normative among its adherents (such as the LDS) despite the absence of any clear proof texts specifically teaching it. Oh -- while we're at it -- can you please show me the scriptures which support the doctrine of a Heavenly Mother (from LDS Gospel Topics - Mother in Heaven): The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches that all human beings, male and female, are beloved spirit children of heavenly parents, a Heavenly Father and a Heavenly Mother. This understanding is rooted in scriptural and prophetic teachings about the nature of God, our relationship to Deity, and the godly potential of men and women. The doctrine of a Heavenly Mother is a cherished and distinctive belief among Latter-day Saints. Is the Heavenly Mother also God? How is it possible that she cannot be God?

The word "one" in the Bible in these passages or "hice" simply means "one." There is no Greek word used in the Bible that can be translated as "one in essence or being." Thank you. If you think Constantine mixed paganism to create the Doctrine of the Trinity, please just read more history. It was actually the opposition to the Trinity, Arius, who wanted to say Jesus was God-like and not God. That is more like pagan demi gods than the Doctrine of the Trinity. I hate to say it but I think the evidence is overwhelming, if you want pagan Doctrine, look no further than LDS beliefs about God. Multiple gods, heavenly father was a man before being God, heavenly father not the ground of all existence and creator of all things, we as humans were Co equal with God in the beginning, we as humans are eternal, the universe is eternal. You can look at the Early Church to see they believed in God who is not man, who is existence itself and different nature from us, who holds the universe in existence in every moment, who created the universe and us from nothing because of sheer love. That's the God of Christianity.

What Kind of God Is the Mormon God? First, the Mormon depiction of “God” is clearly not the immaterial Creator of all space and time. He is, rather, a powerful being from another planet who lived, died, was resurrected (seemingly by his own god!), and is now exalted. He lives with his wife, Mother in Heaven, who is a goddess, but to whom we’re not allowed to pray. This understanding of God actually contradicts earlier Mormon teaching. While Smith claimed in 1844 that God the Father has a body, the 1835 edition of Doctrine & Covenants included a section called “Lectures on Faith” that taught that there were only two members of the Godhead (the Father and the Son), and that the Father was a “personage of spirit” and the Son had a body (in their words, “was a personage of tabernacle”). These lectures were cowritten by Smith and unanimously approved in 1835. Yet by 1844, a third person had joined the Godhead-the Holy Spirit-and the Father was suddenly a personage of flesh, not just spirit. Mormon theology got stranger after Smith died, and he was replaced as prophet by Brigham Young. Young claimed that we ought to worship only one god: Adam. According to Young, This idea, called the Adam-God doctrine, was later condemned by the LDS Church as “false doctrine,” although Mormons continue to venerate the originator of the heresy, Brigham Young, as a true prophet. Fascinatingly, Young damned all of those who reject the Adam-God doctrine, insisting that “Jesus, our elder brother, was begotten in the flesh by the same character that was in the garden of Eden, and who is our Father in Heaven. Now, let all who may hear these doctrines, pause before they make light of them, or treat them with indifference, for they will prove their salvation or damnation.” Where does all of this leave Jesus? As mentioned, the public relations side of the LDS church stresses the centrality of Jesus. This is behind the Mormon church’s move to get everyone to call it “the LDS Church” and distance itself from the word “Mormon.” But again, if you dig deeper, a different picture emerges. Although the LDS Church’s Newsroom creates material suggesting that they worship Jesus Christ, talks given to LDS audiences sound a different note. For instance, the Apostle Bruce R. McConkie spoke to a Mormon audience in 1982 on the doctrines that “must be understood in order to gain eternal life.” First and foremost was the fact that “we worship the Father and him only and no one else.” In McConkie’s words, we do not worship the Son, and we do not worship the Holy Ghost. I know perfectly well what the scriptures say about worshiping Christ and Jehovah, but they are speaking in an entirely different sense-the sense of standing in awe and being reverentially grateful to him who has redeemed us. Worship in the true and saving sense is reserved for God the first, the Creator. For these and many other reasons, it’s clear that the Mormon conception of God differs in kind (rather than degree) from what mainstream Christians believe. Rather than simply different beliefs about the same God, these seem to be beliefs about radically different gods.

@@CalledtoShare With all due respect, do you realize that President Hinckley doesn't know his history. The Council of Nicea was convened by Constantine but Constantine didn't have any say in the decisions. He convened the council because there was a division happening between the majority church and a quickly growing group following the teachings of Arius. He is right that Constantine didn't want such division, likely because he still had the stability of the empire in mind. Here is the thing that Hinckley failed to mention or doesn't know about. Constantine didn't get his way. He wanted compromise but the bishops came down heavy on Arius and exiled him. The source for their decision and the following famous Nicene Creed didn't come from them but a source better then Joseph Smith who supposedly was visited by an angel when he was a teenager YET still went out and conned men out of their money as a treasure hunter. The source they had was the scripture that was written by the very apostles that walked with Jesus. So here is the kicker. Constantine being upset with the church for their hardline stance was actually convinced to become an Arian by his wife, or sister, or someone like that in his family.
@cadenza5253

The Nicene Creed was no compromise. A compromise leaves the two parties settled in agreement, but this Creed left the Arians who disagreed with it quite dissatisfied. The Nicene Creed was the clear and unequivocating statement of belief held by the Church since the Apostles first began to preach. It wasn't a new formulation of doctrine - it was the clear statement of established doctrine, required because of a new challenge to it - the Arian heresy. In fact, after the Creed was declared, the Arian heresy persisted - and even dominated in certain regions of the Christian world - for another three centuries, before it finally fizzled out in its ancient form. There was no compromise in this picture. But the essence of the heresy has arisen again multiple times within the Christian (and nominally Christian) world... Is God the Eternal Father? If so, doesn't that mean He has always been a Father and Jesus has always been His Son? The Arians were known for the slogan, "There was a time when the Son was not." But if there was a time when the Son was not, there was a time when God was not a Father and Jesus was not a Son. However, if God is the Eternal Father and Jesus the Eternal Son, there was never a time when the Son didn't exist. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

The nicene creed is an obvious compromise when for well over 300 years before this great council, absolutely none of the saints said anything about some trinity. Neither did they say that whosoever does not believe in the trinity is not Christian or believes in a "different" Jesus. This council should never even had took place. Could have sworn Christians already knew who God the Father was and that Jesus Christ was one with Him but not the same God. Likewise with the holy ghost also being His own person. I believe they are all completely alike and sure do behave as one and the same God. I just ain't buying that the Godhead, as the bible says, are all one and the same God at all. One in purpose yes. They are separate and distinct beings. The Holy Ghost clearly has no body of flesh and bone. God the Father definitely has a body of flesh and bone because he gave one to us and especially Jesus Christ. I know Christ was the God Jehovah of the old testament as I know He is the messiah of the new. I know He taught us to pray solely to God the Father only in His name. Nothing confusing to me about that. If others are still confused or feel it's a heresy, I don't have that issue. I still say God bless and pray for understanding. At least understand I still believe God is the Father of all our spirits, Jesus Christ is our savior, and the Holy Ghost testifies of truth.

@@bobbq8380 The Creed was no compromise. In fact, the Arian movement that made the Council of Nicaea necessary had many followers who strongly disagreed with the clear statement of doctrine in the Nicene Creed. The division in the lead up to the Council and in its wake, was bitter. It was at that council that Bishop Nicholas (St. Nicholas of Christmas tradition) slapped Arius across the face when he lost his cool! Arianism lasted in pockets of the Christian world for another 300 years or so after the Council before it finally died out.

Aside from what we learn from the Book of Mormon and the First Vision that the Godhead are 3 separate beings, the original Hebrew writings of Genesis support this. Genesis 1:1 reads: in the beginning, THE GODS created the Heavens and the Earth. the word used here in Hebrew is "Elohim," which is the plural conugation of "God," which is "El".

Below He claims to be both the Son and God…and the Jews ordered Him killed by Pilate for this claim (John 19:7). John 10:30-33 “I and the Father are one.” The Jews took up stones again to stone Him. Jesus answered them, “I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?” The Jews answered Him, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God.”

Does a Christian need to believe in the Trinity to be saved? And if so, why did our Savior, nor the disciples, ever teach the doctrine of the Trinity? Why would Christians give credence to a council of men coming together to argue who God is (The Council of Nicaea in 325 CE), and thereby seek to define God? Can mankind define God? No, God reveals Himself to mankind. 1 John 5:7-8, The Johannine Comma is an interpolation according to Christian scholars (words added) to the Bible by over-zealous Trinitarians, who wanted some testimony to the Trinity, due to the fact that in the Bible there is none. Matthew 28:19 has come under suspicion, a commandment allegedly given by Christ to the disciples, but the disciples only baptized in the Savior’s name only, as demonstrated in the Book of Acts. The early church historian Eusebius, wrote (published circa 316 CE) in his book, Matthew 28:19, that Christ actually said, "Go and make disciples of all the nations in my name" (Eusebius, The History of the Church, p. 68, PENGU1N CLASSICS, 1965). The Trinity has only really existed since the 4th century. Historian H.G. Wells factually stated, "There is no evidence that the apostles of Jesus ever heard of the Trinity-at any rate from Him" (The Outline of History, Vol. 2, p. 499). Martin Luther is quoted in a sermon saying, "It is indeed true that the name 'Trinity' is nowhere to be found in the Holy Scriptures, but has been conceived and invented by man" (The Sermons of Martin Luther, Vol. 3, p. 406, 1988). It is time that the false Trinity Doctrine cease to exist in Christianity! Catholics and Protestants agree that “Whoever will be saved: before all things, it is necessary to keep the Catholic faith… unless he keeps this faith whole, he will perish everlastingly...And the Catholic faith is this: we worship one God in Trinity” (Catholicism, p. 69, 1961). Protestant professor of Theology James White, states, “The Trinity doctrine is misunderstood as well as ignored. It is so misunderstood that a majority of Christians when asked, give incorrect and at times downright heretical definitions of the Trinity” (James White, The Forgotten Trinity, p. 16). According to James White, around 75% of Christians, who think themselves to be Trinitarians, are actually Modalists. Modalism: One God who at different times represents Himself in three different modes of being: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. If belief in the Trinity doctrine is so critical to our salvation, then why did Christ and the disciples not preach the Trinity, which historically developed over 300 years after Christ? To say that one must believe in the Trinity in order to be saved, when Christ never stipulated the doctrine as a prerequisite for salvation is the grossest form of legalism! The man-made Trinity Doctrine is so ingrained into the imagination of Christians for salvation when Christ and the apostles never ever taught it, that many will actually stand condemned for believing in the Trinity according to the Tradition of men, and not of God. Christ warned us about teaching doctrines without one thus says the LORD! And He...said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ‘This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men…” He said to them, “All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition” (Mark 7:6-9). Christians do not need to believe in the Trinity in order to receive salvation and eternal life in the Kingdom of God! If Christians needed to believe in the Trinity in order to be saved, then it would be taught in the New Testament by our Lord and Savior, and it, the Trinity, was not taught in the New Testament. The Trinity is a useless Doctrine based solely on the misunderstanding of men. It is time for Christians to free themselves from the doctrines of men. The Son of God declared: “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM” (John 8:58). YAH is the meaning of I AM. By this statement, Christ told the Jews that He is their God, the very God of Israel. Not to take this statement as true in that He, the Son of God, is lesser than His Father and God is tantamount to calling Him a liar. Based on everything presented here, the statement by churches that one must believe in the Trinity in order to be saved is the highest form of legalism.

Everything we have today in Christianity is technically “man-made.” Even the scriptures, though inspired by the Holy Ghost, were written and recorded by mortal men, in faulty and limited “man-made” language. Will you make the same argument against the Holy Bible because the writers were mere mortal men? I don’t think so. The point of the statement was not that men were uninvolved in the process of revelation, but rather that those men did not do it *alone.* They were *inspired* by the Holy Spirit, and *led* by Jesus Christ Himself. "How deeply grateful I am that we of this church do not rely on any man made (unaided by the Spirit) statement concerning the nature of deity. Our knowledge (of the nature of God) comes from the personal (inspired, meaning God-aided) experience of (the imperfect, mortal man) Joseph Smith.” (The knowledge of God we have today came because of the *interpersonal* relationship that developed and was cultivated between the man Joseph Smith and His Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.)

It was bishops who attended the council of Nicaea, interesting this is never mentioned by Mormons. And the council was called to determine whether Jesus was fully divine or created as the Arians were claiming. The mormon false prophet in this clip did not even address the issues or answer the questions the council sought to. He just stated he does not understand the creed so it must be false. Well as an ignoramus who has never read the writings of those at the council, of course he does not understand the creed. Just like all Mormons, he cannot understand historical Christianity due to being a lazy learner. And Joseph Smiths god is the most confusing. In the Book of Mormon he is one god, in later teachings there are 3 gods, and finally at the end of his life, Joseph Smith taught there are MANY gods. Sometimes Mormons will call Jesus a man, sometimes they will call him god, because they do not have creeds and their false prophets are theologically illiterate. Plus Joseph did not tell anyone about his “first vision” until decades later and in the first version he wrote down, just one person appeared to him. He never had a vision of Father and Son, just copied the other visionaries of his day and fashioned his story over time so that other Mormons would stop challenging his authority. He was a liar throughout his life, so even he could get his story straight, not at all a reliable testimony.

That's a strawman argument. In Acts 15, the apostles and elders had a council meeting to discuss what to do with false teachings regarding the need for circumcision to be saved. I believe there would have been arguments there, though orderly, too. One person did not come from somewhere and claim God spoke to him directly or that he had an encounter with God. They had a council meeting. If the apostles of Jesus had a council meeting to clarify salvific concepts, I'm gonna choose that over one man's acclaimed personal experience. In fact, after the apostle Paul's personal encounter with Jesus Christ. He ensured to go back to the Lord's first apostles who then gave him the right hand of fellowship. He didn't go around teaching what the apostles would have considered heretic. They all came to the conclusion that his revelation was indeed of God.

Does our first article of faith teach the Trinity? No. Neither does the Book of Mormon or the Bible. There is no teaching that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit dwell in one essence. Those verses you mentioned don't teach the Trinity because there is no mention of the concept of the 3 in 1 essence. That mention would definitely question my faith, and yet it stands as is. John 10:30 doesn't mean that the Father and Son are one in essence but in purpose and unity. The same is mentioned when Jesus talks of his disciples in John 17:19-23: "And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me." Is this saying that the Father and Son are inviting us to combine our essence into theirs? No it is saying that we should align our wills with God to be aligned with him so that we may be united in one. UNITY NOT TRINITY. The Trinity, the 3 in 1 concept of confusion is not biblical nor logical. This is one of the creeds Christ would count when he mentioned that "all their creeds were an abomination in his sight." This does not make Christ less of a being, king, or savior he is supposed to be. As Paul the Apostle wrote in his epistle to the Philippians Chapter 2:5-12, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." I bless you that you may continue to read your scriptures and to ponder it's sacred messages in your heart, that you may know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom he has sent. Who was God (Jehovah) from the beginning, the great "I am."

the Trinity can be interpreted, but that does not make it true. Even Satanists use the Bible to show that Satan was good and God is bad. The fact is, the "trinity" was invented by a group of pre-catholics who misinterpreted the words of the Apostles and twisted the doctrine and broke the everlasting covenant. Why do you think so many "christians" needed to reform the original church? Because it was completely apostate.

I have always wanted to ask, if christ had a body and it was resurrected and glorified....where is it now? Did god leave the body and hide it on earth somewhere? Or take it to heaven and hang it up? That's why the trinity makes no sense at all. We are made in the image of god. That is truth. God has a body, jesus christ has a body and the holy ghost does not so as to dwell within us. @@CalledtoShare Mormon doctrine is contradictory. If God is an Eternal Father, then He must always have had a Son - otherwise His fatherhood would not be eternal but have a beginning. Therefore we can be confident that the Son is co-eternal with the Father. We can also be confident that this Son in His Divine Nature does not have a body, but acquired a body when He became man in the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as it is written: the Word Who was With God and Is God became flesh. Since the Word became flesh, He must not have had flesh before. If God the Father has a body, how can He be eternal and unchanging? This man states that Jesus is the creator of the earth. Yes indeed, but creator of the universe as well, for all things - planets, galaxies, men and angels - were created through Him and for Him. The “other sheep not of this fold” refers to all gentiles, not just those in the Americas. The doctrine that the risen Christ appeared personally to ancient native Americans was invented by Joseph Smith and has no basis in reality. In actuality Jesus Christ continues to be present and active in His body the Church of which He is the Head. It was and is through His authorized Church the true Gospel is being proclaimed. Of course the doctrine of the Trinity is “confusing” or rather beyond the scope of merely human intellect. My dog has a better chance at understanding a Shakespearian soliloquy than I have of understanding God. That’s why we need the gift of faith.

Incorrect interpretation. Eternal = he's always been Father = he became a father. Eternal Father. A God that has always existed and is now a father.
@1962mrpaul
@1962mrpaul Жыл бұрын
@@CalledtoShare While your interpretation is possible, it’s not likely. The speaker claims that “Joseph Smith spoke with God the Eternal Father.” Eternal: adjective, without beginning or end; lasting forever; always existing Father: noun, a male parent. Following the normal rules of English grammar, “eternal” modifies “father” in this sentence, not “God.” Perhaps he misspoke and meant to say “Joseph Smith spoke with the Eternal God who became a father,” which would fit what you’re telling me; but he didn’t. One would expect the President of the Latter-Day Saints to speak with greater precision. Consider this, taken from a Mormon source: “God the Father is the Supreme Being in whom we believe, whom we worship, and to whom we pray. He is the ultimate Creator, Ruler, and Preserver of all things. He is perfect, has all power, and knows all things. He “has a body of flesh and bones as tangible as man's” (Doctrine and Covenants 130:22).” Notice it says “God the Father is the Supreme Being.” It does not say “God is the Supreme Being who at some point became a father.” So again, if what you say is true, the lack of clarity is misleading. But Mormon doctrine raises other serious problems. For example: God has a body of flesh and bones, does he need to eat and drink to subsist? Does his hair and beard grow? Who’s his barber? Does he use a lavatory? A being that can change by definition would not be perfect or eternal. Every change in a being - like going from being not a father to being a father - necessitates going to a state that is either more or less perfect than the previous state. Such a being cannot be God.

The term "god" or "God" as used in the Bible simply means a ruler. You have to understand the term as used in its context, and modern prophets have clarified the nature of God. Jesus is part of the Divine Council, is separate from the Father, and is "Ruler (God)" by divine investiture of authority from the Father (e.g., Hebrews 1, but pretty clear throughout the Bible, if you understand the underlying culture). Which is why it is actually coherent for Jesus to do things like pray to the Father and even call the Father "great than I" (John 14:28). Otherwise, it is performative nonsense (Jesus was confused or lying), or Jesus had multiple personality disorder.

And Stephen saw what Joseph Smith saw....as he was being stoned to death in Acts. Stephen saw two beings, God the Father and His Son. Further troubling about the creeds...Constantine was a pagan emporer....who literally made himself a bishop. Apostolic authority is required to set apart bishops. By this time, apostolic authority was long gone. The fruits of the doctrine of the trinity are 1500 years of blood and horror.....those who refused to bend a knee to the 3-in-1 god, those who refused to adhere to creeds of men...were tortured, burned alive, exiled, disemboweled, persecuted relentlessly... One of the greatest truths is the truth of the biblical Godhead. The creeds of men altered the true nature of our God...stripping Him of His gender, His body, even His emotions. Through Greek philosophy which infiltrated the early Church and was backed by the Roman Empire, "homoousios" became official Church doctrine and the triune god was born. Notice...this god eerily sounds like satan himself...without a body....without the ability to be a Father and have literal offspring. Satan cannot create, he can only counterfeit. The trinity is the most horrific counterfeit of all.

😅 BOTH OF THEM. EVER SINCE THE FATHER CREATED JESUS, NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE BY GOD WITHOUT JESUS, AND NOTHING JESUS DOES IS WITHOUT THE FATHER. THE FATHER AND SON ARE INSEPARABLE, LINKED TOGETHER FOREVER. EVERY SINGLE SAYING OR DOING OF JESUS COMES FROM THE FATHER. IN JOHN 5:36, JESUS SAYS “THE WORKS WHICH THE FATHER HATH GIVEN ME TO FINISH, THE SAME WORKS THAT I DO, BEAR WITNESS OF ME, THAT THE FATHER HATH SENT ME.” JOHN 5:37 SAYS “THE FATHER HIMSELF WHICH HAS SENT ME HAS MORE WITNESS OF ME AND YOU HAVE NEITHER HEARD HIS VOICE NOR SEEN HIS SHAPE.” WHY DOES JESUS SAY THIS? IT IS BECAUSE GOD, THE FATHER, BEARS WITNESS OF JESUS THROUGH JESUS. JESUS’ WORDS ARE THE WORDS FROM GOD HIMSELF. THE “GREAT MYSTERY” IS THAT GOD SPEAKS AND DOES ALL THINGS THROUGH JESUS, FOR GOD SENT JESUS TO DO GOD’S WILL AND NOT HIS OWN. JESUS DOES ALL THINGS USING THE POWER AND SPIRIT OF GOD THAT IS INCARNATED IN HIM (MATTHEW 28:18). JESUS REPEATEDLY TELLS US THAT HE HAS NOT SPOKEN OF HIMSELF, BUT ONLY WHAT GOD RELAYS TO HIM IS WHAT HE SPEAKS (JOHN 12:49-50) AND DOES (JOHN 8:29). “AND THIS IS LIFE ETERNAL THAT THEY MAY KNOW YOU THE ONLY TRUE GOD, AND JESUS CHRIST, WHOM THOU HAST SENT'' (JOHN 17:3). There's a difference between debating who God is and compromising on the doctrine of the Trinity and Joseph Smith saying "I saw them. They are separate individuals." I understand what you are saying though. Either Joseph Smith had this experience, or he didn't. What did NOT happen was Joseph counseling with a bunch of friends to decide on God's true nature. "So, in accordance with this, my determination to ask of God, I retired to the woods to make the attempt. It was on the morning of a beautiful, clear day, early in the spring of eighteen hundred and twenty. It was the first time in my life that I had made such an attempt, for amidst all my anxieties I had never as yet made the attempt to pray vocally. After I had retired to the place where I had previously designed to go, having looked around me, and finding myself alone, I kneeled down and began to offer up the desires of my heart to God. I had scarcely done so, when immediately I was seized upon by some power which entirely overcame me, and had such an astonishing influence over me as to bind my tongue so that I could not speak. Thick darkness gathered around me, and it seemed to me for a time as if I were doomed to sudden destruction. But, exerting all my powers to call upon God to deliver me out of the power of this enemy which had seized upon me, and at the very moment when I was ready to sink into despair and abandon myself to destruction-not to an imaginary ruin, but to the power of some actual being from the unseen world, who had such marvelous power as I had never before felt in any being-just at this moment of great alarm, I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me. It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other-This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!"

Following the death of Jesus Christ, wicked people persecuted and killed many Church members. Other Church members drifted from the principles taught by Jesus Christ and His Apostles. The Apostles were killed, and priesthood authority-including the keys to direct and receive revelation for the Church-was taken from the earth. Because the Church was no longer led by priesthood authority, error crept into Church teachings. Good people and much truth remained, but the gospel as established by Jesus Christ was lost.
