A tip for speed control on the greens! If it’s a downhill putt make your practice putts closer to the hole. If it’s an uphill putt take a few steps back to best simulate the speed needed 🙌🏻

great tips. Thank you! If I may make a suggestion, please film with the phone/camera sideways (landscape) so the video isnt so skinny and small.

You had me at "stop in the hole" I would always say 1 to 3 feet past but good set up.

The golf hole is 4 and 1/4 inches wide. When the ball rolls 3ft past, the hole shrinks to the size of a golf ball making the capture size very small. Meaning the only way the putt will go in is if your aim is perfect and hits the center of the hole. 17-18 inches is the optimal distance to hit it past 👍🏻

@@RyanRichGolf 17 to 18 man right on the money I would say. I just said 3 feet max as I sure as heck don't want to put it more than that past the hole. My Dad was an old pro he said never leave it short if you want to score. On a lag I just get it to within a 3 foot radius of the dead center of that cup. I think it is a bit crazy to assume that having it consistently die in the hole or even 17 to 18 in. past puts a expectation that most golfers can never achieve. I just feel like saying that kind of thing like it is easy puts a thought in someone's mind that they can always hit those numbers and those are unrealistic expectations. I am a 4.6 handicap...... I could never be that consistent. Most golfers are like 15 to 18 hdcp, that reading lesson was great. But they would be better taught to lag a 25ft putt. If it drops it drops. Sometimes you get lucky.

@@TheHollomap it’s just a good rule of thumb especially on fast greens and down sloping putts to have it feel like the ball stops at the hole. I see players predominantly hit downhill putts way too hard, leaving themselves 10ft+ coming back

@@RyanRichGolf dude I totally forgot it was downhill. In this case you are 100% right. I feel foolish now and I apologize.
