Is the ball turret available for purchase in-game too or just the nose turret?

They are but only for the mk1 non for the mk2 but if you find a f7a you can take the ball turrets off and put it on the f7c

@@rhade03 They spent a hell of a lot of time, effort, and manpower to code it to do that. It wasn't some happy accident of code that was not intended. Clearly CIG fully intended to do it to some degree. As others have said... it's not "duping" if you have to pay for the items.

@@donaldengel4128 LOL My job title is literally Software Engineer. This was a bug. It was a regression from previous behavior that clearly stems from them addressing other issues. You are categorically wrong. The people who were doing this were "insuring" FPS gear by bending over backwards. Reproducing this had a lot of wild steps that clearly aren't intended steps in the "insurance" process. If they're going to spend all that "time coding" an insurance feature for FPS gear, wouldn't they announce it? Wouldn't they make it clear that's what it's there for instead of having to do a lot of strange and vague steps that aren't self-evident? Because you "pay" for the items doesn't mean it's intended. It is literally duplication. You are meant to pay for repair for damaged items, those items repair. That is the INTENT of the code. The code is being exploited in a way it wasn't meant to be used, and the roundabout steps you need to take to do so make that incredibly clear. Keep deluding yourself and playing in make believe land to justify the notion that this was ever an intended feature. If you need *ANY MORE* evidence at this point that your take is objectively wrong (which you shouldn't after actually reading this), CIG themselves patching it out and calling it what it is, and I quote -- "A few exploit fixes related to the repair flow and item duplication with some specific vehicles." -- then I don't know what the fuck else to say. You are WRONG.

I may not be a software engineer but I have dabbled in code since the days of BASIC and COBOL... and you're not convincing me this is some accidental thing that they did not deliberately make. "Reproducing this" required "Loading gun racks, and saving the ships state", then "repairing the ship back to that state". That's your "bending over backwards" and "a lot of wild steps that clearly aren't intended"? They would "Announce it" when it was ready for prime time. The fact that they did not come out and claim it as a feature doesn't make it an exploit. Someone CLEARLY spent time and effort to write code to make it happen. If someone actively wrote the code for it, it's NOT a "bug". whether they have released it yet or not. As a software engineer do you write "bugs" deliberately? Now it may be that the "feature" they are working is not complete yet, and was being exploited in unintended ways like "duping" commodities and such instead of just guns, and armor... which is why they removed it... It may also be that the "feature" was not supposed to be part of the 4.0 patch due to not being complete, and got out accidentally. But that doesn't make the whole thing a bug or exploit. Saying it is is just stupid...

This change from 4.0 to 4.0.1 means it is a “patch”, which basically means it’s the same code, but with corrections to fix bugs and/or relatively small adjustments. The first number is a major version which obviously a very large change to the software. In this case they added Pyro and a slew of other stuff. The second number is a minor version number. That can be anywhere between a major version change and a patch. Typically, a patch isn’t going to introduce new content beyond minor adjustments. But ultimately the version and patch classification is up to the software development team internally, so what might seem major to us might still be a patch to them.

I'm boycotting the game fps weapon insurance was the most fun I've had in a long time finally I could play without fear. It finally gave weapon racks a purpose and breathed life into my ships. I don't care if someone paid one million credits for one hundred rail guns. Or duplicate the coolest rarest armor it's a game it's about having fun. At the very least they should've made it where you could only dupe items in your player hangar or acquired in the in-game shops.
