A Quick and Helpful 034 Dogbone Mount Insert Installation Video - Mk7 Golf or MK7 GTI

In this video, I'll be sharing the purpose of a Dogbone (pendulum) mount insert, a quick tutorial on how I installed the 034 dogbone mount insert on my Mk7 Golf Sportwagen (MQB Platform), and a limited review on the performance of the product so far.

Great mod, didn't notice much change in vibration personally (but already got trans/engine mounts) Quite like it, little difference but still make the car more enjoyable. Did buy the upper insert too but haven't fitted it yet.

I did the same thing. She noticed with apr stage 1+ tune and tcu time. She noticed when I was zipping along side step for step with the wrx which she thinks looks badass.

In sport mode when I come to a stop it makes a quick clunk sound jerk feeling , could it be dog bone mount or engine mounts or both lol

My manual does the same noise when I shift from 1 to 2 wrong. It's difficult to make the shift smooth. Hope I can reduce or remove the dog bone clunk with an ECS polyurathane insert.

Should have done upper insert as well, def not too harsh, I only really notice a vibration during take off on a hill (DSG Alltrack).

I did have just the bottom mount for about 2 years then added the top and have no regrets. Install wasn’t any more difficult, did it on ramps with parking brake engaged before putting it in park.

@@740GLE I was under the impression that you definitely want to do the upper, as it prevent the lower from deflecting at a weird angle and wearing out the bushing.

Crazy this part is $98. I got a replica. For $9. Does exactly the same thing. Fill the voids. Crazy the mark up for a piece of cnc aluminum 👍
