Throughout the 80’s and 90’s JRPG games were on the rise in not only Japan, but they started to take hold in America as well. From the Dragon Quest series which debuted in 1986 to Final Fantasy which hit store shelves in 1987 to Shin Megami Tensei in 1992, and Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, and the Phantasy Star series, JRPG’s weren’t necessarily the blockbuster titles they are today. All these games are recognized today as fantastic games and series in their own right, but until the release of Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation, JRPGs wouldn’t find the foothold they needed to be one of the most popular genres in gaming. With the rise in popularity, there is one series that has seemed to fly under the radar of many gamers.
The oddly named, Tales of series.
To Celebrate the Release of "Tales of Arise" here's a video on each of the 16 mainline games in the series! Hope you enjoy it.
