@@SomethingFishy707i recently bought one, only used 6 times for surf fishing and it had a leakage. I used the same boat design just buying a new receiver. Would be better if you make your self one or buy a good one. I also bought soñar and added it the rc but it doesn’t reach too far unless I don’t know how to configure it.

how wide is the "pick up" range? I mean do you have to be right on top of the fish or do you have a left right range of how many ft?

There is a wide and narrow angle setting the narrow goes deeper not sure on how many actual feet it is

How do you tell what direction the fish is at ? Does this scan in all directions ?

It puts out a cone shaped beam strait down you set the degree of the angle. I am still trying to figure it out 100% what I do go over an area then cast behind where I just was . Then I'll do faning casts a few to the left and a few to the right of the area.

Imagine the manufacturer fucking with us. They program it so that after a few feet random reeling in, you get to see schools of fish, when there is actually none? Randomness in the program will sell it. 😂😂😂

Alot of times it will be plants with thin stems that show up as a small school of fish

I've been using it mostly attached to my kayak but yeah definitely you spend more time casting and looking than fishing I do plan on using it on the coast to find the bottom to fish for rockfish from Shore still need to get out there and do that

I do agree, it takes alot of the mystique out of the thrill of the catch. I did a video using it a month ago and I felt like I was cheating and the large bass I caught didn't give my the normal feel of accomplishment one normally gets. I'll be just using it for depth when fishing for food in the ocean
