It looks like they're doubling down on the moment to moment combat gameplay, rather than long term strategy and roster management. I get why people would like it, but I'm sorry to see the things that made the other game shine set aside.

Well it's great since we now get both. With all the great content mods from the community being made for DD1 it's great to have the best of both worlds depending on what I'm feeling.

@@trydodis690 actually, I went back and played DD, and realized how agonizingly tedious the between missions part is… and I feel like this faster paced version may be a good direction. I haven’t bought dd2 yet, but I’m back to considering it.

I think it’s stupid, they just changed it around, they’ve removed more from the first game than they’ve added. I would have kept the old dungeon crawling on top of the stagecoach sections at least.

Best advice is don't watch boss strategy guides or you'll ruin the experience because knowing is half the battle. If you get frustated cause dying save your dd2 save file then replace it if u die or lose 1-2 toons before fininshing a chapter so u can at least start before u died.

With how DDII bosses are balanced and with how long the individual runs take going into a boss fight blind is just masochism. You can doom your entire run just by picking wrong characters for the act. I don't see any fun in that.

​@@GangurEXEThat's pretty much the main thing that is left -exploration\adventure + meta progression. Hero dying, runs ending in disaster or anything bad happening can be fix with a restart. Only your time is taken for good

Id usually agree. But the act 3 boss is extremely unbalanced and poorly design rn. If you see this LOOK UP A GUIDE FOR THE EYES. Otherwise you will die too it with out a lick of knowledge as to how you were suppose to win. I've already seen it make three different streamers put the game down. Its one thing to lose because you didn't know about a mechanic, you can make a team abd go in again ready for the next in but it's another to lose to bullshit imbalanced and none interactive gameplay.

You can add modifiers in the form of Flames, which you unlock with candles, onto your Stagecoach to make it a lot harder

So did DD1, lvl 5 champion runs are way harder than lvl 6 fully upgraded runs with fully upgraded town
