G’job OFB, rain days are double edged swords, they let you catch up in some areas of farming and put you behind in others. Hay field looks 1000 percent better from where you started👌🏻keep em comin Ethan 🇺🇸💪🏻🇺🇸

Ethan, that new Hayfield sure is a major transformation from the first day of brushhoging the field. Thanks Michael

I like how you have your duals mounted with the tire lugs match the inner tire lugs. I thought I was the only one that does that.👍

Definitely get a 207, they are my favorite rake. I've used a NewHolland, rather have the Oliver! My neighbor used to borrow our 207 when his New Holland "broke down", I think he just wanted to use the 207 because he liked it better!

Crazy how far ahead you are there. Here in NEPA we are just getting some leaves on the trees. The weather is always disagreeable 😂

The one thing about Farming, there is never a lack of something to do. You make short work of your repairs with your shop. Hay crop looks promising. Thanks for the ride along Ethan. Take care. Fred.

If I remember right, our rule of thumb was 30 days from fertilizer application before we took off first cut hay.

I like your 1600. I have one and it's a 1964 model and my dad had the motor overhauled. When we were farming it was dynoed at 72 horse. Thinking about selling it and it has over 8000 hours on and about 3000 hours on it since it was overhauled

Great video. I myself enjoy the rambling because it adds to the real-life aspect. Keep up the good work and I'll see you later.

There is a pretty nice 207 rake that was in the trees for a while, Then it disappeared. I found out a buddy of mine has it. But, Not sure if he plans on using it or selling it.

You mentioned that you might be renting another hay field. In another video you posted about how not to be landlord, was the price per AC per month? Or do you pay if you don’t mind? Thanks

The biggest and only benefit of RR alfalfa is the ability it clean it up mustard. In grass smoking the mustard out should be a walk in the park. The longer a guy goes with out spraying the mustard the worse it gets.
@Oliver66FarmBoy7 ай бұрын
Not true. Never sprayed my other hay field for it. Did the same thing. Brush hogged it the beginning of May before the mustard went to seed. Didn’t have any in it the rest of the year and none came back this spring. Watched my neighbor do it that way on new seedlings for years and he never had to spray a drop to get clean hay. Not much you can spray on an Alfalfa grass mix to kill it without killing the alfalfa or the grass either.

@@Oliver66FarmBoy That's exactly the problem my buddy had with his re generative ag fields. You can't kill weeds that are the same plant leaf type with chemicals, and keep all the good plants you want..

Everyone always says that. Nobody thinks about the fact that manufactures buy so much steel that they get bulk discounts so for something like that you can’t even buy the material to make it for the cost of buying it off the shelf.
@brianbrock49467 ай бұрын
@@Oliver66FarmBoy I understand when we need large amounts of steel im lucky to have a friend that owns a welding shop and he puts it in with his monthly orders and gets me a good discount. No where near the price the big corps pay but it does help
