A QUIET LITTLE Mountain Town - 8-Bit Forest Village Speed Development | RPG Maker MZ Map Creation

In this episode of Speed Development, BenderWaffles creates a small, basic forest town in an 8-bit style using the 8bit Retro Graphic Materials All-in-One Pack DLC within RPG Maker MZ.
Map creation takes practice. It is an acquired skill that only comes with time. That being said, studying the work of others is a fun and fantastic way to learn how to do it yourself. Perhaps this will teach you some new techniques that you can apply to your own game development project, whether it is within RPG Maker MV, RPG Maker VX Ace, RPG Maker XP, Unity, Game Maker, Clickteam Fusion or some other game engine.

I don't have the steam version! Can I get this for regular RPG Maker MV?

@@SylkaChan Always have been able to, Steam gets DLC later than regular version does, however Steam tends to go on sale more often. Some is on Itch too and also on sale often.

Helps there's ways to alter the palette and it includes instructions for changing it while keeping in line with 8 bit, so worst case you can just do that depending on what you're looking for. Just one of the quirks to 8 bit, 8 colors, 8 instruments...8 bits.
