I'm a bit confused by Laura's plan, she wants to protect her future grandkid by antagonizing and coming at the mom of a two month old barely formed baby with a gun and chasing her around hostile territory of bandits and aliens? How does any of that protect the baby? She's acting like Alex has the baby in her hand right now and she's trying to take it. And if she's trying to mercy kill Alex to "save" the baby that's a poor use or words and why would Alex's dad go with her to do the deed? It's like the game needed a villain and they didn't really know what to do?

I hate the damn trope of "getting pregnant in an apocalypse". These guy's pullout games are weak as hell and it now becomes everyone's problem. There's limited to no contraceptives in these universes so either get a stronger pullout game or wait till everything is settled. Don't try for a child if you aren't sure how to raise it, that should be a universal law especially in an apocalypse where the enemy is reliant on sound!

When something glows it's a common video game trope indicating the character sees something interesting. It's subtle, it doesn't break immersion (see Resident evil Games) and it doesn't treat the players like a dumbass.

That's kinda the point. The Death Angels aren't a highly intelligent sapient species with a higher purpose like the xenos, they're pretty much only feral beasts that kill anything that makes a sound. They're also far more brutish and less elegant than xenos, so that's why they're movements don't look as crisp.

We can speculate who sent them and why, but that's outside of what we've been given in 2 films. Their means of arrival on Earth is irrelevant, we've seen how they operate once here. They're animals. Predatory, alien, apex animals, but still just animals. Not a lot of thoughts behind those teeth and claws. They didn't calculate any orbital mechanics and fuel burn rates to get here. Day One reinforced this idea that they're doing little more than responding to audible stimuli with a side-order of echolocation. A space-faring species they are not, not any moreso than the animals we've sent into space in the early days of rocketry.

I pre-ordered the game and I’m wondering is that somehow the reason why my game is WAY more sensitive. I can’t walk like at all; I have to crawl everywhere. The second I step on anything/bump slightly into.. I have one chance for them to be notified basically where I am and search for me in my area and the second is the kill. Every single door cabinet has to be open SUPER slow because it alerts them. Oh and then I have to stop and wait for the aggro to go down for all of those things to keep going. My game took SO much longer and was MUCH slower paced. I have no idea how you’re running.. it’s so weird. I guess it’s more fun that way. (I did have custom accessibility with normal gameplay but I don’t know why that would make it harder).

The game really is like outlast. Its completely scripted there isn't actual an AI with a Referee like in Alien Isolation or Amnesia: Bunker. When you go from one part of an area to the next, so does the monster. Also if you stand still long enough and the monster will slowly walk your way and run into you, much like Call of duty zombies crawlers.

for us to figure out how to beat them IRL we would need to know they are sensitive to noise but we would not know that, plus we would be fighting them so there would at least be a few MONTHS of DEATH and carnage THEY WERE ABLE TO SURVIVE NUKES (they are not weak) once it clicks what the counter is then we would be able to fight back, but i feel irl it would depend on how fast we realize how to beat them and if we are able to let everyone on earth know how to beat them (communication could be down before everyone knows)

Evolution would never give a being such good ears without the ability to make high frequency sounds themselves like bats, so theyre able to see!!!! 2. In the movies why tf do the monsters CHASE humans after they made a single sound, it doesnt work like that if youd make a sound you could move 5 meters and be invisible again! 3. i'm certain many meteors crashed everywhere on the planet, US is only ever shown. Also, it seems they kill for sport, even though this isn't delved into whatsoever, which is frustrating. I think they can see with sound as long as sound is happening, if that makes sense. Technically yes, somebody could move quickly after making a sound and they wouldn't know where it is, but these things viciously attack all over the place as soon as a sound is heard and then if they don't get u they hunt in that area
