I genuinely love achievements. They give something to look forward to after you beat a game, they lead you to trying or looking for things you normally wouldn't. Overall they're nice to look back on and think about the times collecting it. It's like collectables in games, most people don't care; but they have a fanbase that loves them.

I know that a lot of people don't really care about steam achievements, but i used to be a trophy hunter back on my early PS2/PS3 days, and that sort of just carried over. I have even decided not to get some games because they didn't have achievements. It's a weird addiction once they get their fangs in you. I only noticed it after my collection passed 500 because it's an easy way for me to control how many games I have installed/am playing at once. We may be rare, but we do exist lol
