So happy that there is something so powerful like the Chosen. I just got back in March from Israel and walked many areas that a lot of followers of the lord have walked and I'm just..so sad to come back to the states. Mainly because this isn't the country that I and so many have fought for anymore. I just love learning about the Jewish history and about the Roman empire. I have learned so much. Searching out the things in my Bible. Deuteronomy 6:9 gives instructions about the doorposts of your house. Doorpost is mezuzah. But also a small item attached to the doorpost is called a mezuzah and contains a scroll with verses from Deut 6. Look these things up online to learn why people touch it and prayers recited.

It takes a lot of guts or maybe a better way to say it is passion to color outside the box to tell the stories of the Bible in a completely different way than ever heard before. In the church I serve we're doing the video study, and we're almost done with Season 2. On of the things I do to prepare to lead is to watch the Bible Roundtables, because they almost always answer questions that come up. I've made the point with my group time and again that "The Chosen" isn't meant to replace the Bible, it's meant to point to the Bible. Do you have enough faith to follow Jesus without being healed? That resonates with me so deep, I am currently a 33 year old woman who has a physical disability, I’ve been told over and over again that God can heal and trust me I know he can but I always felt the spirit inside me saying “God is going to use your disability to bless others, will you have faith if your never healed” and I didn’t know what that meant, I have some idea after watching little James encounter with Jesus but I’m learning more and more I believe I’m destined for great things, I’m in my Jesus year (33 the age Jesus died) my son just turned 12 (the age Jesus is mentioned to be in his father house, preaching and gaining wisdom) my birthday is 3.16 “for God so loved the world” I am definitely one of God’s favorite, I’m building faith and security in being happy how God made me…. I AM CHOSEN ❤

I enjoy seeing these discussions and hearing the different perpectives on Jesus, the Bible and historical context. Referring back to my Bible to see for myself gives me grounded discernment along with visual from the film. Referring back to the Bible itself is so important, as I have encounted a few lines that concerned me a bit. I've been a follower of Jesus for 55 years and I've never before watched films about Jesus. This one along with the round tables...is definitely worthwhile!

My only problem with The Chosen is each season is over way too soon. It goes by so so fast and i am left.longing for so much more. I just finished S3 last nigit. It was my 3rd time through all 3 seasons. I will start over again. It sure has helped me become closer to Jesus and the bible. These roundtables are something to look.forward to.

I would add, do you have enough humility to admit you do not have faith, but instead ask, "Lord I believe, help thou mine unbelief". Mustard seed faith is enough, as Jesus told us, but "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." Romans 10:17

I love the historical content of the show and I'm re-reading Alfred Edershine's books for even more details.I read them a really long time ago and I don't think that I finish them. There was too much detail that I didn't understand. The book is called "The Life and Times of Jesus the Messiah. " He has a couple of other books that I'm going to read too. It takes my mind off the nuttiness that's going on ALL over.

When one knows the New Testament/Covenant, one can understand and know when the details are "off". However, i also consider the fruit of this series, and that fruit is good. Inspiring many to read and study the New Testament for themselves, leading many to Jesus, showing the miracles He did, the way people lived in this time, and on and on, inspiring. God uses many avenues to get His message across, this is one.

I absolutely loved the Chosen , was enthralled with the series, and was very impressed with Dallas trying to embrace the variety of opinions as shown in this roundtable. I found my husband watching and raving over the show. Then it happened, there were Catholics objecting to some of the scenes with Mary, ( I am Catholic by the way) calling them downright schism. I understand that there is poetic license here, but the answer Dallas himself gave, so upset me, I just lost all interest. While being interviewed and some of the "Mary" parts that were offensive were mentioned, he vehemently shook his head back and forth, repeatedly saying, "I don't care, " I stand with the Pentecostals, so the Blessed Mother has little meaning to him. Well she does to me, and many other Catholics to be sure. I'm surprised at the Catholic priests somehow not mentioning anything. If he could have gently said, he didn't mean to offend anyone, he's trying his best to honor Jesus and bring the Bible to life, my reaction may have been much different. But , I don't care, I don't care. Enough said . I've never watched it again. As I've said, I absolutely loved it previously, not all I see an hear Is I don't care. She is tge Mother of Jesus. Do you think He cares? Sad. You lost a fan, but I'm sure you don't care about one fan either.
