Glad to see this beautiful presentstion on the raga thodi. Congratulations charulata garu.Sri bhakta gnanananda teertha ( saint ogirala veera raghava sarma), the saint composer of carnatac music has composed a beautiful tana varnam madhura meenakshi and songs like kamashi sada , ee nadevarito, para shakti sada.I am his son , music and spiritual disciple.Like syama sastry saint gnanananda teertha has composed 86 songs in praise of divine mother after seeing her in different forms like gayatry , kamchi kamakshi, madhura meenakshi, kali, parvati etc and talking to her.He was a gayatry upasaka. These songs are the outburst of this upasana.He was the first saint composer in the history of carnatac music to compose and propagate the philosophy of gayatry . He has composed 3 songs on gayatry. The song sri gayatry in valaji was sung and propagated by sri g n b , sri m balamuralikrishna, smt vasamta kokila , smt d k pattammal and sri prince rama varma etc since 75 yeard.I wish you all the best

WONDERFUL ABSOLUTE! INDEED, RAAGA HAMUMAT-TODI - OR JANA-TODI; OR KARNAATAKA TODI - DESERVES A PRIMORDIAL PLACE IN GLOBAL MUSIC. THIS MELAKARTA 8 OF VEKATMUKHI - HOWEVER CORRESPONDING - TO THAAT BHAIRAVI (IN NORTHERN ERMINOLOGY: SA. KOMAL RE, KOMAL GA, SHUDDHA MA. PA, KOMAL DHA, KOMAL NI) - THIS IS NO RAAGA BHAIRAVEE OF THE NORTH. ITS MOST IMPORTANT NOTES ARE: KOMAL GA AND KOMAL DHA - NOT SA AND MA OF NORTHERN RAAGA BHAIRAVEE . THE NOTES-MOVEMENTS OF THIS KARNAATAKA TODI ARE PERENNIALLY ORIGINAL; AND ITS USE OF ATI-KOMAL MOTES REMAIN UNIQUELY WONDERFUL. GOD BLESS YOU FOR INTRODUCING THIS CREST-JEWEL OF RAAGAS.

How to touch upon all the signature aspects of thodi.. When singing ragam.. In a short time?
@ashutoshramkumar52702 жыл бұрын
One way is to take phrases from popular krithis in Todi. The other way is to listen to RTPs in thodi

Charulatha Mani has spoiled the original tune of all the kruthis in all her concerts. Hundreds of examples! A reall dhrishti parikaaram in the field of Carnatic Music world is Charulatha Mani🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
@silverfoxrn69322 жыл бұрын
Please, Charulatha, why must you speak in English? You are Tamilian, the audience is Tamil and you are giving a concert in the heart of Tamil Nadu, and yet not only you but all the musicians of Carnatic Music speak or explain in English. GO figure!!
@cecilsmelodies2 жыл бұрын
Her audience on KZbin is truly global, not just Tamil Nadu.
@ganeshmr388 Жыл бұрын
if interacting in english helps the music reachable then what wrong in it.. be proud to be a tamilan but not arrogant sir
@mohamedumar184810 ай бұрын
Language should connect people together. Not separate them apart. I think you may understand
@silverfoxrn693210 ай бұрын
Why do you think I am arrogant? So you are saying that People who speak English will understand and appreciate carnatic music, eh?+@@ganeshmr388
@silverfoxrn693210 ай бұрын
Global maybe but how would a person understand and appreciate carnatic music if he/she speaks only English? You know what? South Indians are still under the slave mentality of the British. It is considered to be elite if one speaks in English.@@cecilsmelodies
