My personal experience... Im 3rd year student in a gmc. Today 2 juniors came to my flat to collect boneset. When I welcomed them handed them laddoos, they were a bit nervous then i lightened the mood by joking with them and gave them some college tips and how to handle different situations. When they left happily I just thought how cruel someone can be to do ragging these innocent people who have come to a new environment fulfilling their dreams which they worked their asses of. I ain't telling every fresher is humble , respecting.. but even if they are rude, what this has to do with u? Just limit ur interactions with them they will learn how to act slowly with the environment. I've never undergone ragging as I rented a flat in initial days if my college still I've some seniors who are good friends of mine, but the friends of mine who stayed in the hostels were ragged very badly in their fresher year. One of the reason i stayed off the college hostels.
@Nadeemkhan-wi6vp3 күн бұрын
When we complain , faculty says in class don’t complain until it’s brutal , interact with your seniors they will help you in future . They will help you pass . It’s part of medical life and you should respect your seniors. When I entered I thought I won’t accept one abuse but what to do when faculty itself supports this ( they might not support the abusive language but when they say interact with your seniors , first word they ( seniors ) utter is abuse. They say they will ask JR to fail you (I don’t fear ) but JR also behave in such a way that you should follow what your seniors say

There might be one faculty who will take action, who takes these issues seriously. Try talking to different faculties or the best option , write an application to the dean. In govt colleges everything in written is taken seriously. Or talk to your parents , they will meet the faculty.

Ragging in Government medical college is not new😮💨 I have a best friend studying in a government medical college. He worked extremely hard, studying tirelessly to score above 600 in NEET and, despite all the NTA-related issues, secured a government seat in a prestigious college. However, now he’s being ragged by his seniors. Every night around 10 PM, a group of 5-6 students are called, forcing them to dance, sing, act, and entertain them till 1 am( the worse was 3 am). They’re also made to write journals, be available whenever summoned, and even have their phones checked, including personal DMs. What’s worse is that his college is a relatively new one, yet the ragging is already this severe. In older colleges, it’s reportedly even worse. You might think this behavior is generational or part of a vicious cycle, but that’s not the case. The current third years, or "super seniors," were never bullied themselves. They started this for no reason-perhaps just to make others write their records. You might say, "Complain to the anti-ragging committee, and it’ll be over." But no, the anti-ragging committee does nothing. Even if they do take action, it often leads to problems like threats or retaliation. Most of the time, they simply don’t act-they have job security and get paid regardless. My friend doesn’t deserve this. I wish I could go and teach those little boys with Little pps and fragile egos a lesson for troubling him, but I can’t do anything. If my friend tries to go against them, it’ll only make his life harder. After all, he has to stay in the same building as them. His hostel is surrounded by fields for about 5-6 kilometers, with no nearby support. If something were to happen, it would only end up being worse for him. I hate this situation. It’s infuriating

I attended Engineering School and a senior tried to Rag one of our friends. We (juniors) all assembled and confronted them the next day, it turned heated and we were ready to fight if we had to. The guy who tried to rag was shocked and was wasn’t expecting that. Eventually things calmed down and he never bothered us. Like you said respect is earned not inherited. Moral: If juniors should unite and stand against them! One hard battle is better than 4 years of war.

Being a doctor is nowhere similar to what people think it is. A teenager who just passed his bords exam is subjected to great amount of pressure to crack exams like NEETug and we hear hundred of suicide cases every year. After cracking the exam we are just treated as servent of senior in medical Colleges and the amount of mental and physical stress given to students is unimaginable in some cases and we see cases like these where they end up lifeless. After surviving this when you are almost a doctor, just completed your NEETpg exam and got selected in a reputed college, we are also not safe there and see cases like Navdeep Singh (neetug air 1). But after surviving all these torture and sheer pressure when we finally feel happy for our success and progress, we face backlash from society !! After facing all this some uncle sitting at a barber shop has audacity to say that doctor just need money from them and sit without doing anything in their AC cabins charging tons of money !!!!

That person is going to be targeted. 2. i once thought of beating my senoir outside the collage cause i wasI in my citys medical collage and then i realised , outside collage i might be strong but inside collage it will be 1vs100 so i just took whatever they threw at me. I really think theres no way of avoiding ragging in medical collages except you just gotta be strong enough. and your personality shold be like:- Mess with me and You will know who i am. This will not save you but kinof help you from being targeted . I noticed that the seniors target weak/ underconfident students mostly and they only ragg others when its necessary.
