My perception of his appearance or language or anything else is unimportant. Unlike many parents, he had a goal and he set out to accomplish it. His parenting was deliberate. He taught them extremely important principles, whether they had succeeded in tennis or not. He didn't say, "I don't know how to play tennis," he LEARNED how to play tennis and then TAUGHT his girls. Whole books can be written on Richard Williams. I'm glad he made it to the hall of fame.

I don’t care what anyone says, a father is an indispensable element in a child’s life. A child can do great things with a strong mother, but is capable of doing extraordinary things with their father present. I love you dad. Update to my previous comment: I am not just alluding to success from a materialistic perspective. Even horrible mothers are able to create successful children. Look at the Kardashians as the typical example. If they had a father in their lives with a backbone, do you think he would have agreed to having his daughters sell themselves for fame? Highly doubt it. This isn’t saying that mothers aren’t important. Not belittling the strength and determination of a woman. I am obviously one myself. However, I strongly believe that a functional nuclear family is better than one with a single mother.

There is a Feminist Agenda in the western world. Marriages are almost going extinct. Women now say they no longer need men. The world is truly messed up as time goes on.

Richard Williams is black Americas dad. He truly demonstrated the strength of what the average black family can do if they stick together and have a vision.

Mr. Williams is an American treasure and deserves to win the next 26 straight "Father of the Year" awards in my opinion. What Mr. Williams was able to accomplish with Venus and Serena is nothing short of a one in a Trillion miracle. To even suggest that 2 black girls trained by their dad in Compton would eventually completely take over the sport of tennis, would have been considered unrealistic Science-Fiction. A very impressive man and extraordinary father to say the least.

A man who abandons his first 5 children doesn't get to make it up with next two. Regardless of how amazing they turned out. I wonder if they will bring that up in the upcoming movie.
@infiniteuniverse95283 жыл бұрын
@@automata9866 Actually he does get to make up for his past mistakes by raising Venus and Serena so perfectly. There is no "Father School" so I'm guessing the man had to learn from his passed mistakes. Or perhaps you would have him not have raised those 2 at all and let the Europeans keep those tennis trophy's? The word "Abandoned" is a strong word for re-marrying and raising a new family.

@@infiniteuniverse9528 It's not just a past mistake he continually made the mistake by treating his 5 other children like they were trash. I do respect the fact that he raised two of the most amazing women of our time. But 2 out of 7 is still a failure, no matter how you look at it. The suffering he caused his first 5 children is unimaginable.

@@automata9866 Anyone would take 2 out of 7 children becoming billionaires as being a huge success. (Most "Good Parents" will never raise a single billionaire who can support the rest of the family financially, lest alone 2 of them.)
