cool car ,would love to see you take it to the race track just to give it a test run once you have restore it back to its former glory.

Thank you for this video. I remember a 1996 American magazine review where a contributor, Frank Masi, gave a Predator the ultimate test by racing one in the Cactus Classic - a relatively high profile event in the USA - and finished 3rd in the top 4WD race!!! He thought it was a bit flimsy but very innovative, especially with the inboard shock absorbers.

YAHOO! If you are able to read this, Gavin, the Predator was reviewed in the September 1996 issue of Radio Control Car Action. Google image that and you will see the cover showing Frank Masi's Predator in what I took to be factory 'serving suggestion' colours. Hope this helps.

@@RCKickschannel You're welcome. Black wings. Purple rear. White middle and cockpit. Chartreuse/lime front and wheels. Unfortunately I do not have the magazine anymore, when I was in my old hometown I donated it and a few other hobby mags to a community centre. However track it down if you can as the Predator review contained useful information - may be obviously a bit dated - on setting the car up.

They were great race cars back in the day and even today at vintage racing they are still competitive, i saw people racing them at my local hobby club MBV Kampenhout were they hold the annual GP Kampenhout , those cars were fast and lot's of drivers from the UK are always present there

You'd think, but with how big a stick the racing crowd has up their asses about the whole "oNlY bUy WhAt YoUr LhS sUpPoRtS" thing it'd flop like almost every other new brand that's tried to enter the scene. That's actually what killed Tenth Tech and Team Xtreme - LHSs wouldn't support it because no one bought it, no one bought it because LHSs wouldn't support it. It also didn't help that these things cost about the same as a modern carpet missile 4WD buggy back when the average 1/10th scale racing kit was still under or at most just a bit over $200.

PS the magazine article Predator I recall was painted purple and back with flouro yellow/Chartreuse in the middle. Sorry I'm no panel and paint expert and going from memory as a 13 year old.

I had the international with the wide touring conversion kit and the smaller touring version I loved them they were so quick

Comes down to money and the amount of people who want it. With Tenth Tech and Preds, it’s a really small community that kind of keep quiet. If you Google about them, mostly it’s a few groups and links to my videos.

Yepthe design was way ahead of the plastics of the time. With modern carbon composites, it could be made stronger. Just a real shame it's not being rereleased as so many people would love a NIB X11 again

Fragile, expensive and hard to find parts put this one on the shelf for almost everyone these days unfortunately. Even the brave few who track them at big events spent most of the run stressing about breaking them lol

@@lo2713Same, I would just crash it in Q1 and then have to go home as I’ve broken a part I don’t have. LOL two months later and £130 lighter it would be fixed again. 😂

Great to see a TT buggy back on the channel. I always wanted one back in the 90's. If you're interested, I have a video (quality isn't the best) from the 93/94 Batley winter series featuring the predator and some of the team drivers. It also has some of the Schumacher team drivers.

I still have the touring car version, it’s in a bad state, and has a driveshaft missing for some reason that I can’t remember 🤦🏼🤦🏼

Does anyone have an update on whether the buggy designed by the lead designer at tenth technology will be releasing soon or has it been shelved? Apologies can't remember the chaps name or the company but there were rumours, a website, and images last year.

I suppose you mean MRO racing. They say it will be arrive soon for over a year now, so maybe in a few years lol?
