Note that Costcos Organic Bone Both is very affordable and we add it to our dog’s meal every day. We also feed home prepared organic meals. Has lots of protein and good stuff that helps their coats, joints, digestive track, collagen, nails, allergies, helps with yeast, dry itchy skin problems, etc. The benefits are endless! Once on bone broth the joint pills were no longer needed. Bone broth is just as beneficial for people too! We all use it daily if not at every single meal.

Thanks for the tip. I'll check it out. I'm always afraid of store bought bone broth because a lot has onions (in my area) and I worry about the source of bones.

Can I feed wheatgrass for vitamin e, magnesium and zinc?
@rawfeederlife3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can. I'd be curious to know how bioavailable it is and if it provides enough to sustain a dog. But it could be a healthy addition to a dog's diet. I know people who grow wheatgrass for themselves and their dogs.
@Sapphirecym3 жыл бұрын
@@rawfeederlife so does that mean wheatgrass can be my only source of these vitamins and minerals?

Really lose weight and gain weight when they need to but when you fix them sometimes at all it doesn’t always play that way so you’re actually doing a great thing

Vallarta or good Mexican butchers will have good discounts & custom cut. Especially if u find the older butchers. U can order oysters in water from any grocery store n get generic

Great video, thank you! I was wondering what type of canned oysters to get and wasn't sure if they came without the "smoke". Glad they do! Also, I just went to Walmart and was able to pick up chicken and beef/calf liver, so that's good in a pinch. I wish CostCo would sell more organ meats, as well as a larger variety of muscle meats. I usually buy my chicken and beef muscle meats there (some bone-in, some not) because the prices are so good. I have gotten the Cosequin at CostCo before; definitely a good price!

I buy oysters that are boiled in the can. I avoid anything smoked because I don't know what they're smoked with and worry about any remaining toxins. The brands at my Walmart are Pearl and Geisha.

Glucosamine supplements saved my Misty during her senior yrs. before discovering them she barely got around. After taking them she was able to run around like a pup & jumped w no problem. It was a true miracle. She never suffered from joint pains while taking them until her very end.

Do you feed your dog any meat?
@rawfeederlife4 жыл бұрын
Yep! I follow the 80/10/10 plus model of raw feeding, which is 80% muscle meat, 10% bone, 10% organ meat with the "plus" being additional nutrients my dogs need and get from raw fish, oysters, green lipped mussel powder, raw eggs, etc.

Omg thank you for your videos , today is the first time I’ve seen your videos. I’m on a keto diet and while in keto we need magnesium and potassium because these are crucial for heart health and electrolytes . Dogs in Keto need those too ?
@rawfeederlife4 жыл бұрын
You'll have to take that question to an expert in keto. A friend of mine has a blog about keto for pets: Baby Steps for Healthier Pets. She's my go to resource for all things keto.

Thank you for this video. Can you give raw oysters to dogs?
@rawfeederlife5 жыл бұрын
Great question. I don't feel comfortable giving my dogs raw oysters because I don't know how to tell if they're bad (unless they're really bad). I prefer boiled/baked.
@yachinyphotography5 жыл бұрын
1.in my country this stuff will cost u like 3-4 times more. 2.if u need all this supplements and special diet (keto) . For them to loose weight. Something in your meals is not working or your dogs are too soft too spoiled ,and they don't get enough exercise. 3. I get it that you want to treat your dogs as best as your children, and to give them the best nutrition as u possible. But it needs to be much more relaxed and easy, with no need for loosing weight, health is more than just food ,its structure and obedience and exercise i know of dogs of regular to poor nutrition ,that had a very good life, with love , structure, work to do and exercise that had no illness, and are still looking good at the age of 14 (for 30 kg dogs). With no trip to the vet ever , only for the vaccination. Or if they got into a fight with other dogs. U guys in the US u need to step back a little and see the bigger picture. Holistic health for dogs is not only nutrition.... And they are dogs not people. They need to be treated as such.(I love dogs more than I love most people) but I don't spoile them. I think the materialistic world and cycle that is embedded in your culture is getting a little bit in your way of caring for your dogs health. And i know I don't know everything about you guys or your dog's. But I do know about dogs, I do know about feeding, and biology. And i know that raw feeding doesn't have to be so much easier

@@yachinyphotography hi, here in the u, states. Just read your message. I agree with alot of what you're saying. My dog gets raw only, but I don't stress or overdo when it comes to his food. He's very healthy for an old dog and I do get him supplements but I don't worry so much with that either. Some ground leafy greens took care of his impacted glands. Three years later he's in better shape than when I adopted him. Like you stated all in a relaxed manner without stressing if I'm doing this or that wrong. Thank you for your insight and imput. Ok wait- dogs n many horizontal mammals have different stomach arrangements n many already ferment food but they also naturally Carry many bacteria 🦠 that would be dangerous for humans. Goat milk and bone broth along with flax oil and whole egg 🥚 will give good supplements in diet.

We introduced our puppies right away to premade raw which I fed until I felt confident feeding DIY. We didn't experience any digestive upset. It worked.

Awesome video. Thanks so much! Your oyster roll screen reminds me of Star Wars! Super cute! Love Kerrygold butter! It's the only butter we use! Whats sodium content for the oysters do you want to be under? We dont have that brand of oysters at our walmart but the ones I've looked at are around 200mg in 2 oz. Thanks!

200 mg is what I've found too; I also rinse the oysters before feeding them.

It’s not Keto for dogs it’s how they eat deo breed. Best option is to pay upfront for dehydrator & make meals. No way/blood sugar checks are not necessary- exercise your animals and feed raw w some veggies n egg n oil

Raw Feeder with a fat dog? How that happen? #AnxietyOCD
@rawfeederlife5 жыл бұрын
Doesn't matter if you feed raw; if you over feed your dog then you'll have a fat dog. I made that mistake . Thankfully, she's 1.5 pounds away from her goal weight.
