so that thing about like "you either face this way or this way" is that a lot of people think they turned around 180 degrees, but they actually got it off a bit to the left or a bit to the right, and they end up veering off to the side without realizing, and after a bit you're way off and you just get disoriented again. it's scarily easy to get lost in the woods. I remember seeing a survival show where these guys showed that you can get lost in an open desert, because when you walk in a straight line, you tend to drift towards your dominant hand. the one guy was left handed and the other was right, so when they walked next to eachother, they'd drift into eachother and keep eachother going straight. this is why I've got one of those watches that has a compass built into it.

Apparently, all the characters that act human but have weird skin tones and body shapes are something called critters, and it is a separate race from humans, although Charlie's girlfriend and glep's wife are both human

In the directors cut, I think Zach and Michael say the categories are critters, humans, demons, and the last one is miscellaneous (maybe like the animal animorphs like shrimp, the aliens, etc) Extra bonus fact: Michael made a tweet on 2020 explaining that “critter notoriously hate wearing clothes, but seeing as their job requires a lot of PR and interacting with people, the boss would prefer they wear clothes”. It explains why pim and Charlie have full fits while Alan and help are “practically” naked.
