I was an ER tech from 2009 to 2022 and I can’t imagine having to paper chart 😫

Is it true that nurses mostly clean bodily fluids (poop pee and vomit). I want to work in nursing but I keep hearing things like this and idk if it’s 100% true

It's a big part of the job but not the only part. Once you get more into your career you have experience to move around and can work in specialties or outpatient/non-hospital where you do less of that. Absolutely in nursing school you will be dealing with that every clinical shift, but it's survivable.

@accountforwastingtime is totally right! It's not *mostly* but a big part of the job especially in units like medical-surgical. The good thing is that there are 100s of nursing specialties out there so if you don't like it, you can always move around! There are definitely specialties where they don't do that at all like clinics, outpatients, etc.

are there any hospitals with travel nursing that dont do paper charting like epic>?

I think that will be dependent on the hospital you're travelling to! :) I think part of being a travel nurse is being fluid with the process, so you have to be confident whether you're going to do paper or electronic charting. But honestly, it's very minor in the whole process. Don't be afraid!
