It certainly takes a team in the OR too. The circulating RN is a patient advocate. Other than, setting up, the RN helps everyone maintain sterile fields, does instrument plus sponge counts. Then does a “ hand off “ report to PACU. I now you know this but just wanted your audience to know some of your other important duties. Great job

The stark difference in how nurses on the floor(med surg, rehab, ltc, ortho, ER etc etc) are treated and burnt out.. not just by patients/their families...but by management,doctors and higher up in the hospitals.. its just sad. @@Ashley-og9ti the reason I become RN is that I have more options in the future, I can work anywhere, CST is great job, but you can only work in OR or surgery center, not many options, standing for a long hour cases is difficult too! Hello, I'm a nurse from Europe. What is the difference between OR nurses, and surgical technologists ? (we don't have surgical technologists in Europe)
@BellaUnfiltered3 ай бұрын
Hi! The main differences are the roles and responsibilities they take on in the OR. Surgical techs are trained to handle the tasks required mainly for scrubbing in the OR, whereas OR nurses are able to scrub and circulate. (I’ll try to make a more in-depth video differentiating the two roles)
@riderpsychopate3 ай бұрын
