Many men do not help much with the kids. This is a very common issue for women. Women ask for help and their spouse will be resistant and even resent being asked. Hunter is so supportive of you and such a good dad to Smoke. You've got it so good! 💖
@gwengwen45352 ай бұрын
I think they get resistant because they don’t talk about their needs and expectations way before any resentment sets in. Fighting about it or talking about it at the wrong time or heat of the moment is never good. Respectfully communicating about it and then also making it a point to at least have a quickie once a week that is wife initiated always makes things better😅 it’s hard to do when we are burnt out, but it’s all in the head honestly. After, you both feel better, and he’ll want to do the things you need him to do. But he’ll still need reminding (asking!) fairly often. But that’s ok, just be nice and not mean about it! I didn’t learn any of this until I was in my 40s. I hope this advice helps someone😅💗🙏🏻
@daughterofthemosthigh3366Ай бұрын
@@gwengwen4535 I agree with everything you said! When my kids were little I just assumed if there was something that needed to be done that one of us would do it. No! I would always be the one to do it. When I asked for help it was met with resentment. But this was true for most women I knew at the time. When I watch Julia and Hunter parent, I think to myself, it would have been glorious to live this way!!! By that I mean two equally invested adults doing what needs to be done. It makes for a much healthier relationship.💕

I couldn’t agree more with what you said about how we need more light and airy shows about love and friendship. I loved “Nobody wants this”. Drama is fine, but I think there needs to be a balance.

Hey! Long time follower, but wanted to say that my daughter has had hand foot and mouth twice. Those blisters (and the one on your mouth) look like they’re HFM. They may be spreading to his mouth and throat, which is why he isn’t eating. I’d also check his temp, too, to make sure he’s ok. I’m sure he is by now, but be careful. It’s an icky disease. Xo

I'm a mom of an 11 year old and I remember those days. Sort of, I kind of forgot them now so it's tough. Put the key for me I think looking back is just living in the moment. Accepting that it's hard. And just loving on them at that age even if it's difficult. Because I wish I could go back. Play my little guy is branching out and doesn't really want to cuddle up and hang out with me as much and it makes me so sad

There is a paci that you put in the freezer and then give to the baby. I had a variety of them so that when it’s not frozen anymore, you could swap it out for a frozen one. Between that and the teething bead necklace, my baby was happy during the teething era.

Woah. Everyone needs to take a deep breath. HFM usually presents on the hands too and is accompanied by an ongoing, low grade fever. Dude, Ju! I’m an OG fan who’s an old glamorous gramma now, and all things holistic. Listen honey, Try tepid/warmish magnesium salt baths if he has a fever or even not ‘cause those are awesome. Coconut oil and pure castor oil for his skin. Find a massage you can do for him that will help detox him safely, and he will be SO relaxed. Don’t do Tylenol/acetaminophen, because that depletes our bodies major antioxidant, glutathione. Love ya mama💗👊🏼 Frozen coconut water or milk for him to naw on. And try to get him on a really good probiotic. And Stay away from religion bro. Non denominational only. Jesus is real- He also said to watch out for false teachers and false prophets. It’s so easy to be deceived. It’s about relationship with Jesus, not religion.

Not saying what you’re saying is in accurate, but my daughter had HFM & got it almost everywhere but her hands lol fever is true though. Worst part is just having to let it ‘ride it course’ bc she was miserable :(
@gwengwen45352 ай бұрын
@@febapriljuly Correct! The most common areas are around the mouth and on the hands. The symptoms I described are what we look for first. And yes, riding it out is hard😩 We’ve had to do this with whooping cough, measles and chickenpox. But with the correct methods, you can pass through it pretty seamlessly, and then have amazing immunity moving forward, even passing down the immunity to their offspring. But yeah, it can suck for a bit😞
