I was in LA for the first time and only time so far in 2018 and the day I spent in long beach was by far my favorite during my week in overall a very shabby city, full of homeless people. The boat habour and aquarium of the pacific and surrounding areas was a blast to stroll around. I really wanna come back soon/ Richard from Sweden.

My wife and I are planning a cruise out of Long Beach on Carnival Radiance whats the best affordable hotels close to the port and stuff to do within walking distance

Walking distance to the port? Not much! The Queen Mary is close by. I would look in downtown Long Beach for a hotel. The cruise ship terminal is in more of an industrial zone.
