I'm 100% in favor of adding dates to the chapters!!

Revisions sound like a Future Katie problem! You're killing it!! Also, as someone who is on the frontlines, watching the cases tick up day after day and stressing about having to go through another wave I just want to say something. We all need to take care of ourselves. We need to follow the guidelines, wear a mask, social distance, stay home as much as possible, especially if we are sick. BUT we also need to find moments where we can focus on self care, however that looks for you. This year is filled with so much trauma (Big T and little t trauma) for all of us. It's overwhelming, stressful, and frankly depressing. We need to be kind to ourselves and to each other. We're all going through it. We need to remember it's ok to not be ok and it's also ok to ask for help. So much love to everyone ❤️

Never force yourself to write especially if you're upset - you could end up resenting your work and giving up completely! Take a break. Get fresh air. Collect yourself. Understand your thoughts... and when you're ready emotionally, get back behind the keyboard! Just my slice of advice anyway x

Sometimes when I'm stressed or grieving, writing about what is hurting me or the person I'm missing is helpful. Maybe that's not exactly the topic you want to write about but at least it is something. Sending so much love to anyone dealing with family and friends who have gotten sick or passed from COVID

Also, I'd love to know what is your favorite thing about each of the books you've written/are writing? :)

Adding dates to the chapters is a brilliant idea! That would make things much easier!

It's wholesome to see you so excited over your writing. :D It's rejuvenating to watch cos it gets me feeling creative as well, writing or otherwise! I think that's why I enjoy your vlogs so much. :)

I'm not a writer whatsoever but my first thought about the grief/writing question was to journal bc I think that could LATER be channeled into a project you're writing AND helps you get thru the emotions you're feeling now. So in that moment it won't help work towards finishing a book or whatever you're writing, but having on paper how a person (you) REALLY felt while grieving and how you REALLY worked thru it, I could see being super useful to draw from later.

I actually had a question: How do you balance doing other jobs and writing? I'm working as a preschool teacher while going to school and restarting my freelance writing stuff on the side and am having a hard time trying to balance everything. I've watched all your other vlogs and you make it seem so easy!

Just curious but why is TAVP cover getting another cover? Love the first one and excited to see both new covers.

Mostly so it'll match the 2nd book because I'm working with a different cover designer this time! Also to help it fit better within its genre! But also: thank you! I still really like the first one too :)

Do you have any tips to find Beta readers and find a good editor friend like people who can be brutally honest about what's good and what's not.
@Katesbookdate4 жыл бұрын
I could talk about it more in a video, but honestly I wish I had a better answer. For me at least, it was just A LOT of trial and error. A lot of working with readers who it just didn’t work out with until I found the ones I have now. Communication is key though! The more you can communicate exactly what you’re looking for, the more helpful they’ll be

I’m very confused. For me, this says it was posted 3 hours ago, but there are comments from 17 and 20 hours ago. Is KZbin broken?
