Thanks for sharing in real time. I've seen a lot of people using both products but watching you now I get how to use both products. Yesterday I got my first curly cut ever. I had a full session of wash and did a wash n go. I thought I was using a lot of water but I realized I was not. It was to point that I felt my hair was heavy and it made an huge difference. I bought the uncle funcky and the I create hold last night. It'S my second try with the uncle funcky's gel. I need to use another gel because otherwise my wash n go doesn't last (it acts like a leave like you said). Thanks again !

i’m amazed how fast you detangled! i still struggle with that a lot. how long did it take you from start to finish? and how long did you sit under the dryer?
@TheKhrissss2 жыл бұрын
From start to finish including whatever drying time I can stand lol I would say 2 hours max. I will usually sit under the dryer for at least 30 minutes to an hour and whatever isn’t dry by then (usually the roots at the back and sometimes the crown) will get with my handheld dryer. Do you think maybe it’s time for a trim to help with detangling and getting through your ends? Or maybe a little more water would help?

Omggggg I do the same thing when I wash my hair as far as washing it in the kitchen sink first...then do the conditioning/detangling in the bathroom.... then I hop in the shower to do the rest. For me its much easier lol. Your hair looks amazing. Now I have a question. When doing the raking method to form ur curls does it cause frizz? I was told it does. But that's the way I like to do my hair as well to get the most curl definition. What's ur take on that?🤔😁
@TheKhrissss Жыл бұрын
Omg I am so late with this reply but I haven’t noticed that raking caused frizz at all. In fact, I find the opposite- it helps with clumping and less frizz

What do you find works best for a twistout for the colder weather coming up soon, besides a foam?
@TheKhrissss2 жыл бұрын
I actually still like the foam! I like to set my hair with the mousse and I find that it works better if it’s set under the dryer BUT if you want something a little heavier my second favorite is the Camille Rose Naturals Almond Jai Twisting Butter 🤓
@lameshahale29902 жыл бұрын
I don’t follow the no oils or butters regimen, so this may just be me. But it appears to me that after you guys do your wash & go’s, everyone’s hair shape & clumping looks the same. Like everyone has the same curl pattern. Is that from using the same products maybe?
@TheKhrissss2 жыл бұрын
That’s an interesting observation! I think many of the curls look elongated due to the products but I wouldn’t say we all have the same curl pattern- Aside from wet hair, I think as the wash n gos get older you can definitely see how they aren’t all the same 🤓
@lameshahale29902 жыл бұрын

Thanks for sharing your routine…pretty much the same as what I do. I am wondering why you don’t shampoo in shower? A lot of people have the preference to shampoo in the sink and I always wonder why?
@TheKhrissss2 жыл бұрын
LOL that is a great question! 😩😂There are times where I will get in the shower and decide to wash from there so I’ll ask my husband to bring my hair bucket and I will shampoo and do the whoooooole routine (including gel application) in shower but I think with shampooing in the sink and being able to detangle and condition outside of the shower too I don’t have to spend so much time in the shower and waste so much water. Plus when I condition and detangle outside of the shower I tend to get a chore or two done in between conditioning and rinsing 😩🤷🏽♀️

@TheKhrissss2 жыл бұрын
…is that a bad thing? 👀😅
@PreppyFay122 жыл бұрын
I don’t either. I actually prefer the look of it not being too defined so I can get more volume. Also I don’t lose as much hair as when I rake because I bust up my curl clumps and it breaks so much of my hair up.
@TheKhrissss2 жыл бұрын
@@PreppyFay12 ahhh! so more raking = more definition and less volume?
@PreppyFay122 жыл бұрын
@@TheKhrissss Yeah so not a hard and fast rule but it appears volume and definition are kind of opposite or two lines going in different directions on a graph. So when my hair is more clumped together and held tightly my hair appears to be less dense as my hair isn’t allowed to take up more space in the air it’s being weighed and held tightly by my styling agent. Where as not as many clumps my hair is able to take up more space as well as more hair can stand on top of another. I think having a certain shape where my hair is cut/layered in a way in which hair stands on top of each other also lends itself to me getting a fuller look.
@TheKhrissss2 жыл бұрын
@@PreppyFay12 ahhhh!! Thank you for clearing this up!!!
