I used to buy from a mail order card and game store in Duluth MN in the late 70s early 80s and they were advertising in every paper catalog they sent me for about two years 50 card lots of some Hockey player named Wayne Gretsky. As a 13 year old I was only interested in football cards. They had Dungeon and Dragons games too. 😢. My Namath, Starr, Sayers and Franco Harris rookies are still in my collection 40+ years later. Got those graded when I was married with kids in the early 2000s. Just wished I would have snagged one of those lots of that hockey player named Wayne Gretsky.😂

Awesome!! Just bought a collection of Topps Baseball Complete sets from 1979-2000. Never touched. All mint and super clean. Annoying though that olds sets were packed in the box in groups of 100 with a rubber band. And Topps usually put a star player as # 100, 200 etc. So those cards are damaged Ricky Henderson RC was off centered unfortunately, but the Ozzie Smith RC looks amazing. Having fun going through them and picking at the cards to send to PSA

@@Realsmallballz Only the intervals of 100 for some sets. Every set from topps was like this in early 80s. So like 7 cards out of 732. Cards never touched since bought. Many look like PSA 9. Even some 10s possible. You will never fine cleaner sets in your entire life.

Chris, thanks for reviewing your purchase and the going over the submissions to PSA, back in 2020, I submitted my rookie and 2nd yr. Payton, and I thought both my cards were sharp and crisp, and when I got them back from PSA, the Rookie got a 6 and the 2nd yr. Got a 4 and I thought PSA was out of their Fu*king minds and was ready to break the case and submit it to SGC, but thought otherwise and just sold both of them on eBay ,both for pretty good money, but i seen your thumbnail and I always trust your card evaluations before you submit, so to hear you say you thought your Payton was about a 6/7 and then to get the 7 , and just by looking at your Payton, I thought mine was about the same condition, so that gives me piece of mind, now I can rest easier, Lol, thanks bud !

Having a great product that is easy to sell doesnt negate the incredibly low margins. At a 20% return as opposed to a more traditional retail ROI of 50-60%, the buyer would be out of business sooner rather than later.
