Beautiful discussion. We have been here from the 70’s. I agree 100%with everyone. No matter how many years you live here for us still India and for me Chennai/madras is home. At our time we could go only every few years. On return I always used to wish one more day. Now a days the affordability is more. My sincere advise is visit your family every year. As children grow we do see many changes. But to keep the family value these trips are very important. Also that will also teach the kids from here how with less material things people share and continue to live a happy life. When you are here your friends are your family. After traveling to so many countries my favorite city in the world is Chennai. I totally enjoyed this video. Best wishes to all of you

Totally agreed with your feelings, but besides all the family missing and emotions,there should be some positive and refreshing things in USA which is taking you forward. Please do discuss out that also as it could be very much supporting and helpful for people who is aspiring to live in abroad. Although everybody is fond of family and missing them already seeing this video makes even more emotional so maybe next time you can discuss the positives out there

I am a Bangalorean , and also lived in USA . I have not faced any issues of electricity, gas, etc .online platforms have made life much easier . It is unfortunate that these ladies are ignorant of these changes . We mostly eat fresh food, and not frozen and reheated dishes . Doctor is available on call whereas you need to wait for his call in USA. Technology and modernity is not everything. How many of theses people have friends who are Americans . There again these people mostly move within their own circle of indian friends. Let them list out their friends from other countries ? This is my personal view and I don’t intend to hurt anyone

In India for cbsc syllabus nobody is preparing questions & answers. They have to study cover to cover and face the Exam. Don't underestimate our Education. Your brain ( developed here ) is drained there.

Yes, indian education (at least cbse and icse) has improved a lot. Curriculum is based on concept and activity.

Very True. I was there for 5 years. I know how the dyslexic children are treated in US Public schools. They are branded as hyperactive and advised to medication for ADHD. There are many litigations between parents and US schools.

In short…life style is better in America while lot of convenience in India. What we see as luxury in india is necessity in America. What we see as necessity in india is luxury in America. For example maid in india is a necessity…but maid in America is luxury. Otherwise cost of living everything is just equal…same problem of income vs expenses. But why we don’t go back is because of the job, education and the environment mainly the weather, cleanliness, and lifestyle.
