This is very refreshing because I feel like I constantly watch youtubers or influencers, watch their house tours or packing/moving etc, and I always think its cool and interesting and all that but Im also like "ok....but where is all your STUFF" and you guys have stuff, you have clutter and things and I really like that for some reason lol. Because I have so much random stuff, and clutter and things that have no place and the things that get shoved places and its not the most organized no matter how you try to arrange it. So I just CANT relate when I watch someone show off all their rooms and everything is just organized and minimal and I cant stop thinking "but where do you put all your THINGS,? do you not have THINGS?" because I can color code my closet and sort fold my jeans a fancy way too but I cant really organize my way out of all the STUFF I have, doesn't matter what shelving system I get from the container store, there is no pretty minimal way to organize all my crap lol

Ahhh the monologue at the end made me so sad but also happy for this closed chapter and the new one for your life!! I’ve literally been watching before the nose job and it’s insane to see how much your life has changed over the years. Beyond excited to see how everything turns out in the new HOUSE 🥳👏

This was the realest video I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I’m the exact same way as you when I pack. It’s the worst. Moving definitely feels like a never ending uphill battle but settling in and sleeping is the best recovery 🥰
@LecheVitrineUK2 жыл бұрын
Just know that making the videos exposing who you are is very validating for myself and many others I'm sure. I hardcore relate to so many aspects of this when I mostly don't relate to others lives. I think it's really important that we see and normalise the full spectrum lifestyle and experiences of people with chronic illness and or disabilities. It makes me feel proud to have you as part the community as you are cool and are so articulate at expressing your experiences, it's brave, well done x

I imagine this was hard to film and even harder to edit with all the stress and discomfort your body is in but thank you for sharing. This felt like such a real moving vlog. Currently going on year 2 of living in the same place and we plan to move places in the next year so watching this almost affirms my anxieties. We collect a lot of stuff over years of living in one place and moving isn't going to be glamorous or easy, thanks for sharing with us and not making this a video where everything is so smooth and easy!
@thegildedsloth97442 жыл бұрын
This video walks through exactly what I went through during my move two months ago - the emotional cycling, the last minutes, the physical everything. I enjoy your videos, but this video made me feel seen and retroactively feel less alone with those feelings that I thought would never end. Thank you for sharing this very real moving vlog.

Meghan, thank you for showing the physical and emotional toll moving can take on you! I also just bought a house after an insane searching process and found myself also burning my candle at both ends and ended up sick from it. I felt so guilty about it because I thought I should be happier getting a place of my own. But moving is HARD. It was really refreshing to see someone I look up to being honest about that aspect and mirroring what I went through. You’re not alone sis!!

Those last 90 seconds got me. I’m sitting on my couch, in an apartment that watched me rebuild my life, thinking about how I’m moving out in 3 short weeks. “It gave me the safety to be a person I really like.”

Just went through the same moving chaos about three weeks ago. It’s tough no matter how much prep is done. My fiancée also packed a few weird boxes…I just had to let it go because I did not have the bandwidth for that conversation lol in the end we made it to our new house with everything in tact. I was incredibly emotional about our move. My space and home are integral to my happiness and peace. Our relationship went through so many phases - highs and lows - so it will always hold deep significance to us. I got teary during the outro. ❤️

Everything you said about moving house with straight men - I relate so well and it's all the damn TRUTH. I lived in 2 share houses with all boys, I live my boys but hot DAMN I did the most. And then moving in with my boyfriend, and helping him move his stuff was ridiculous too. The lack of preparation or organisation is... no words. Well done to you for doing the most.
@user-lh8im2vy8e2 жыл бұрын
Nah, straight men are perfectly capable of being prepared and organized during a move. It's okay to expect better from them instead of saying that it's just how straight men are.

Moving is tough. We moved last June. We knew we were going in a few months so we packed as much of our life away as much as we could over a few weeks. Lived out of boxes until the house was ready. When we got an appointment to see the house we got a weeks notice. We booked WiFi install. Booked a small van with the help of a neighbour and booked family in for the move. We got the keys on the Tuesday afternoon. We were moved in by evening Friday. I got sick the Thursday night and spent the entire of Friday on my neighbours couch sleeping on and off while my family and husband moved our house from one to the other. I was then bundled into a car and driven to the new home without saying goodbye to the old place. I was ill for a week and I cried everyday for that week about how the move I didn't want to do it, I felt guilty. But we had to. My health or lack there of dictated we need a wheelchair accessible house. So we had no choice. I don't regret it now, we've been here almost a year and it's been the best thing for my independence. But in the early days boi it sucked.
