Thank you Jessie for the compost tour it was really interesting. I was on the fence as its quite expensive but after watching this I am converted it is clearly worth the cost. I have contacted my local stockist it is costing me £8.00 a bag I wanted 10 bags so am getting them with free delivery. Just need some good weather up here in Scotland. Thanks again.

Great vlog Jessie. I now understand why it's difficult to buy Silva grow in northern England. It's a small company, distribution must be a challenge. I live in northern Lancashire and I managed to get 3 bags, with added John Innes, for £10 each from a garden centre in Oxford. There is a rumour going round that says that plantgrow compost is even better than sylva grow. Can't find plantgrow locally either!

Wow! Wasn't expecting that but in my heart, I was yearning for the information, so thank you! Love Slyvagrow, I found it a couple of years ago after too many frustrations with other peatfree composts and like you, will not go back. I use it for seed sowing, potting on and mixed with my own compost for planting in pots. Never fails and totally consistent. Well done Melcourt for showing us your product, I hope your sales soar 😊.

You for sure introduced me to growing broad beans when I watched the video with the recipe several years ago. I have now grown the Windsor seed (only type I could source) for threa seasons just so that I can make it. I love it!!!! This year was the first year I have finally been able to source Aquadulce seeds and will be growing both types this spring. What a great surprise to see JB and look forward to his video on your tour!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again for the "field trip". From across the pond in NC. Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The root trainers are very expensive to buy where I live. For a cheaper alternative, I have used toilet paper rolls for deep root training some seedlings and just plant the whole thing, making sure all the paper roll is covered with soil. Jessie, I have used Flex-Seal rubber spray to repair some of my trays (sprayed on the inside) to make them leakproof again. I don't know if it will work on your old polystyrene cell trays assuming you can buy something like it in the UK, but it might be worth a try.

The site is only few miles away from me, but sadly they don't sell to the public :-( I love Sylvagrow. Hey Jessie, I love the Rootrainers I have several that are 4-5 years old. Now using an OCD type level of care with them they still look rather intact and very functional. I did however buy a ridiculous amount of the new ones just to be sure they did not run out if I want another 1-2 later this year. I will admit to 3 of them so don't try to count them!! I will fill 2 of them with okra plants, 2 with tomatoes and 2 with peppers straight away. After that they will be filled with seedlings that will all need to be planted out the same day to wash and dry to be ready for something else. I have not tried the beans so this will be a new trial for me this year thanks to your inspiration. Validation moment I just checked amazon and this is what I found: Currently unavailable. We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock!!!! Ok got to go Cya next week

Broad beans? Gardeners say you have to soak beans before planting, but I don’t with no problems. Snow storm today dumped 9 inches so inside baking because of course I brought the soil in, but forgot the trays in the greenhouse. I’m not opening that door since it’s super cold outside, warm inside and there are plants in the greenhouse I don’t want to shock.
