A Resilient Future: How FAO is Helping Rural Families Adapt to Climate Change in Somalia

With the generous funding of USAID, FAO’ s Cash+ Agriculture Emergency program is supporting rural farming households to address acute food insecurity in rural areas while contributing to mitigate further displacement by helping people to stay productive within rural areas, and lay the groundwork for future recovery.
FAO supported agro pastoral households in Garabis, Gabileey district with 12 Kgs sorghum, 10 Kgs Cowpea and 12 Kgs mung beans and 10-30 storage bags. The Vulnerable households received cash transfers to help them cover their food needs until the end of the agricultural season.
